What the hell are people feeding their plants that they fry them to this extent? That looks crispier than a bucket of KFC extra crispy fried chicken.

That burnt to a crisp plant would go straight into my dry ice hash bin. I wouldn't smoke that as bud.

We used to catch bluegill by the hundreds in Lake Oswego back in the 70's. Are you sure that's a bluegill though? It looks like a crappie.

How did it eat?
I gotta admit im drunk and high. As well as never catching this species of fish im going to lean towards you are correct.

It ate a deep diving crank bait. Bigger than its mouth tbh.

I caught 2 of them 2 casts in a row. This one being the smaller of the 2.

Yeah that's definitely a crappie. Bluegill have smaller mouths, vertical striping, and usually blue coloration around the gills with a dark tab in the back.

They are both good panfish. That sure looks like a lake in Central Oregon.
