Arresting Odor to Avoid Odor Arresting

I live in the city and have a portion of a workshop (about 100 sf) which I am planning to dedicate to growing space. My only real security concern is odor control. This workshop is near the back of my lot but, given that this is California, the neighboring lots are still pretty close. The workshop is against the property fence and the one adjacent neighbor could theoretically come within about 20 feet of the shed.

How truly effective are some of the methods included in the threads on this site, carbon canisters, etc.? What type of system would be needed in such a setting? If there is much of any danger in neighbors catching "wind" of this, I'd sooner not even start. I would definitely rather be safe than sorry.

All help and input appreciated, particularly from those with practical experience.

Head straight to a charcoal filter. Don't fuck with anything else if you want to odor REMOVED and not just masked. Phat brand filters are lighter than Can Fan/Can Filters....and check out the odor-sok...it's new and is much lighter, Seems like it works well but I don't think it has as long of a usable lifespan as the Can/charcoal filters do. (should last 2 years or so before you need to change/refill the charcoal inside)

grow like mad dude..but get one of these first. If you tell no one...they could stand 3 ft in direct shot of the exhaust from a charcaol filter and not smell ANYTHING.

go for it. It'll be the best 200 you ever spend....

100 square foot is small....the can fan isn't that big.....wall mounted it in about 10 minutes. Mine is the 110 cfm rated one...about 2 foot by 6 inch around

Hmm. I am very encouraged by these posts. Need to find some more particulars on equipment, though.
