This is what sucks, I try to live my life this way but get called all sorts of nasty names because I think O'care fails us on so many levels. I feel I give as much help as many and more than most but because I disagree with the lies I'm seen as a hateful racist. I sat with our Congressman back during the debates and told him what I thought. He was cordial and impressed and came to my hospital for a forum that lasted 5 hrs. He (Jim Marshall) was one of the few dems that voted against the bill because it lacked anything of substance but was still voted out after in the anti-incumbent fervor that O'care prompted. This was a man who did more for veterans while in office than anyone not named McCain but was a victim of those two very dark years in our period.

Nobody is happy because there isn't affordable health care. Just because "Affordable Care" is in the name does not make it true. When 1% of the population owns over 45% of the wealth, the time is ripe to seek out the BS and expose it. Then bury it, fertilize your plants with it and move on.
The people need to reclaim their authority before it's all gone.

It feels pretty good to watch the whole thing fail.
To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, youd have to have a heart of stone not to laugh at the unraveling of Obamacare.
First, the obligatory caveats. It is no laughing matter that millions of Americans lives have been thrown into anxious chaos as they lose their health insurance, their doctors, their money, or all three. Nor is it particularly amusing to think of the incredible waste of time and tax dollars that has gone into Obamacares construction. And the still-unfolding violence that this misbegotten legislation will visit on the economy and our liberties is not funny either. This very magazine has been downright funereal about the brazen and unconstitutional seizure of one-sixth of the economy, and rightly so.
But come on, people.
If you cant take some joy, some modicum of relief and mirth, in the unprecedentedly spectacular beclowning of the president, his administration, its enablers, and, to no small degree, liberalism itself, then you need to ask yourself why youre following politics in the first place. Because, frankly, this has been one of the most enjoyable political moments of my lifetime. I wake up in the morning and rush to find my just-delivered newspaper with a joyful expectation of worsening news so intense, I feel like Morgan Freeman should be narrating my trek to the front lawn. Indeed, not since Dan Rather handcuffed himself to a fraudulent typewriter, hurled it into the abyss, and saw his career plummet like Ted Kennedy was behind the wheel have I enjoyed a story more.

One more thing about people losing there homes...My brothers wife died a little over a year ago, and they had her plugged into life support for 10 days at a cost of over 10,000K per day total bill was over 120,000k and he paid almost zero...That is a balance of Zero, he didn't lose his house and he didn't have health care...So who are the poor people that are losing there homes unless they just can't make the payments?

My guess is all the blame goes to the "website in progress" excuse rather than the "we thought he said he was going to give us free healthcare since we already got free cell phones and expect free flat screens next year" low/no information voter excuse.

A 30% co-pay on those bills would be 300K for that family, maybe you can sustain that, but most can't. You'll have to do better to show how O'care prevents bankruptcies. There were safeguards in place to help those with disabled kids, but Obamacare did only a little more. Those facing huge medical bills pre-O'care are still facing those bills, they just might not be as much. A 5million dollar hospital bill would ruin me, but a 500K bill may as well be 500M as far as my bank account is concerned. If I were in the rich category, it would matter significantly though, so O'care does help one segment of the population in that regard. Was that the plan? protect rich people from paying too much?
We are absolutely a team creature, we are pack animals by nature, i get where you are coming from now, sorry for the misunderstanding. For socialism or communism to work, that pack nature would have to change into a hive/colony nature. Evolution may eventually bring humans to that end and we all work like good little worker bees for the hive, but we are no where close yet. Man, like any other animal, prospers most when acting in their own self-interest. You might find this sentiment appalling, but you can't prove it wrong.

And could have been avoided by delaying the individual mandate. Something that will most likely happen anyway as it's the right thing to do.
