D minor, repeat...sad chord.

you sought help yet?
Yeah, went & saw my Dr. & got bloods done that shows no liver/kidney damage, despite the fact that I've been piling-down 20+ standard drinks every day for awhile.... & I'm not a big bloke.

He won't give me sleeping pills because of the amount I'm drinking - I accept that. He offered anti-depressants, which I declined - I was on them for a couple of months 17 years ago & the best thing I did was get off them. I've also been offered alcohol & CBT counselling, but I've done that in the past & it made no difference.

I'm kinda used to occasional "bouts" of this shit, but usually I come good in a couple of days. This one has dragged-on for almost 2 months with no sign of letting-up. It's draining.

I got a powerboard that keeps tripping out thats got 2 lights hooked up to it and the powerboard is on a timer. Anyone know what could be the issue is it the powerboard? Or should i split the lights up onto their own timers?

Because I don't/can't lie or deliberately deceive people, no matter how much trouble it might get me in. Dr's should know the full facts, so they can make the right call on treatment.

Be practical - with the amount I've been drinking recently, if I was to add Temazepam to the mix, there's a possibility that I could stop breathing & I have no desire to die anytime soon. Being unable to breathe is my recurrent nightmare......

Call me old-fashioned. I have morals.

"Hear his boots and see the figure passing by
Echoes of him have been heard
Spiritually he is all intact"

EDIT: What pisses me off the most, is that everything I've been experiencing/feeling/expressing in the past couple of months is the complete antithesis of who I am as a REAL person. I feel weakened as a person, in that I've been to some very dark places & hurt family & friends as a result.

If he’s your only option close then go back and tell him you want a referral for some psyc sessions, and use your credits for first few visits. Rehab for your thoughts. :peace:

Thanks M8. I'm actually a lot better-adjusted than you maybe thinking I am.

I've been in a LOT worse state than I am now & survived the raging onslaught. I'm just ANGRY with EVERYONE about EVERYTHING right now & can't explain it to anyone who can't understand.

Even my partner (who's experienced the absolute worst of me & survived) is still with me, but perplexed by this one.

My usual ability to be strong for others has evaporated......& it pisses me off.

This time is different for some reason, but nonetheless:

"Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are,
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield."
