Ahhhk fair enough yeah would try cut em down to a reasonable number ay.

Cheers dude! If got new hoods which I'm gonna put in after this grow same thing just a bit better, not 8" but 6" and yeah got a fan sucking through the lights and into the roof where it gets pushed through the carbon filter, it's not really 100% ideal because you're not meant to run hot air throughthe fan and also pushing air through carbon filter means I can't put a filter on the carbon filter so it clogs up eventually but it lasts long enough that it's not really an issue and I've yet to have a fan break down
Ok awesome, your setup is definitely producing the goods your plants look like they are loving life. Could it work if you pushed the air through instead? Like:

Carbon filter > Fan > Lights > Roof Space?

If so it would mean you can add a pre-filter to the carbon filter, and the fan wouldn't be in the hot air. Fuck mate that blue cheese is crazy, cloning is something i have to try.

An update on the fungus gnats, it's been 48 hours since using the Mosquito Bits and it's worked better than expected. There's been a 95% reduction in visible gnats already, and best of all the plants are showing no noticeable stress or issue from the treatment.

What i done was added a heaped tablespoon of mosquito bits in to the end of a stocking, tied it off and dropped it in to 5 litres of water and let it soak for an hour with the airstone running, the water will go cloudy. Then just pulled the bits out and watered the plants. Then i undone the stocking and sprinkled the left over mosquito bit granules in all the saucers rather then tossing them and they will treat the runoff water, or at least that's the plan.

Also todays fuck around in the shed i made a SCROG. Should do the job.

Cheers dude. Yeah that's the way you should ideally set them up but it's not a big issue only reason I don't have mine set up like that is because it wouldn't suit my grow room, because I have 4 lights being cooled I have a Y piece that has 2 lights on each duct run so I'd need to either have a carbon filter and fan for each row of lights or have them connect back up again at another Y Junction and I'd have all this duct fan and carbon filter cluttering the room. I've found the way I've done it gets best possible airflow and although it technically isn't the way you should do it, it works fine.

Do carbon filters clog up eventually? my airflow seems to be lower than normal sucking out of my carbon filter.
They will clog up eventually if you run them like I do (pushing air through them with no filter on rather than sucking through them) I you have your carbon filter setup normally so that you are sucking air throughthe filter you should get a filtration sock with you carbon filter when you buy it that you put over the carbon filter and that stops dust from clogging it. Here's a pic of my old carbon filter that had un filtered air being pushed through it. It didn't cause me any issues I only changed it because I thought it would be about time this pic is after 3 years use.480.jpg

I'm giving up on getting seeds in from overseas, just pollen chucking everything myself from now on. Aussie seedbanks are unreliable (apart from ABB with their original breeder packs)

Just put these 2 little hoes on the right into the breeding shack last night, mixed in some compost, neem cake, dolomite, seamungus pellets, soil is basically all worm castings now, thousands of worms in the soil here. Will let em adjust to outside and start flowering, then I'll throw some more Ethos pollen at them - even if I only get 50-100 seeds it's more than I started with.

I just finished reading a 2007 article about heavy metals and it happened to mention that Victoria and Western Australia banned bongs at some point. Hahaha,??. Are they still banned in 2021? If so, the article said NOT to make your bongs out of aluminum/aluminium. Just a heads up.
