I was thinking about using the small tent I have and using like a small 250 Hps in there, as I can just veg in my normal grow room. Im obsessed with Haze, Im about to purchase some straight haze seeds, then crossing them with Blueberry, Original Afghani, Wild Thai, Power Plant, Durban Poison.

Then see what I like/grows well/ then go from tere

I reckon I can fit 4-5 small plants in my tent, 1 Haze male then then 3-4 females, These strains probably have already been done before, but Im going to only use the best plants I have, that can handle my grow conditions, you cant get away from the heat up north.

I have never breed plants before Ill be researching as much as I can.
how many grows you got under yer belt?? i just had a look at your journal, i can say from early personal experience that you gotta wrap the cups up, yer gonna stunt them if you keep growing with light exposure to the roots :)

I have been told that before about the cups, but I like to see the root growth and I havent had a problem with slow growth before.

In the past I go from the white clear cups to, clear plastic 2L milk containers, then to my black square pots, then to my black bigger square pots.

I have only 1 small grow under my belt, I have cut clones 3 times now about 40 of them in total, with a rough 90% success rate. Me N Rockwool dont mix well. Im still learning heaps, any advice I always take note, Since I have heard about covering up the cups now twice, Ill now do a comparison, my way vs covering up see if there is a difference. Im still learning, but i like to think i learn quick. Cheers4da help :bigjoint:

kmoo and other buying ebay reflectors, in case you didnt know, I spoke to the seller to check the base type, and they're mogul bases. Regular CFLs (up to ~100W) use e27 bases which are the regular sized edison screw base. Mogul sockets are used for higher power globes like MH and HPS and also ~100W+ CFLs. That said, the CFLs from Bunnings and most everywhere that isnt a hydro stoe will not fit in the reflectors without a e27-mogul adapter, and I do not know where you can purchase these, let alone if you can purchase them in Australia at all.

i know u can get E27(edison) bases at bunnings and theres plenty of shit there you can use to make a reflector yourself or u can just rewire the mogul reflector(theyre pretty easy)

all u need to rewire them is common knowledge(being color blind wouldnt help i guess), screwdriver and pliers

I think the purpose of purchasing them was to avoid any wiring work. Like you said theyre still a nice n cheap reflector and power cord if nothing else :)

Ive been tieing this girl down coz i wasnt realy happy wit how it was growin but oh well,

i just hope she dont turn hermie coz so far ive topped her 5 times & broken 2 branches with my over-zealous supercropping.I think ill call her Roseanne coz shes gonna be short and fat ;-)

Also check out the weird growth in pic 2,it has 4 fan leaves coming from the same point on the stem & new growth coming from each of those nodes, could have potential ay?

Hey Bb, looking very nice Mate :)
I had a plant do the exact same thing, it's pretty awesome.
As for ur stagnate water it's something I'd avoid personally.. Weed grows well near rivers, but is not a swamp plant.

I wudn b, brown pistils don't indicate a plants maturity, it's all done by trichomes. The brown hairs are just the next step, IRS just happens to b doing it sooner, & honestly who is going to complain about a faster ripening plant?

Cheers man,yeh i am dubious of that water but i dont think ill be able to haul enough water in each time to water 8 plants sufficiently.

I only just managed 15L last time and thats still up there for when i plant(hopefully this week).

Im usin water crystals as well but i had a thought of maybe as its on a bit of a slope i could put a few of those 3L juice bottles with a couple small holes in the bottom about 1-2m above the plants and maybe that could buy me a few extra days??

thanks mate, I'm not too concerned but I think a couple of others guys may be interested. Certainly if it's not too hard to find I'd like to take a look!

how about building a small damn around the plant (with some of that plastic stuff they sell for edging lawns) so that you catch the runnoff coming down the hill and hold it around the base of the plant. Ive seen it done on hills before.

Is the water moving at all? Does it have an odour? If it's moving and smells fresh I highly doubt it's going to hurt your plants. Maybe use it to top up your other water, and trial it on a plant or two upping the concerntration and if there's no I'll effects then use it I say.
