i just got two seeds off a wedding cake photo, that was stressed to hermi (Accientially
) anyway it was showing heaps of bannanas all over it was removed and dried early,
im gonna sprout them for shits and giggles
as for your seed, someone down the road likes hermis
or your room needs a clean( pretty sure i gave my room a half arsed wipe as well after so yeah)
hey, on that subject,
you guys think i should chuck half a jar of dried trim with all the bananas from the wedding cake (

So why is using silver nitrate to get pollen, going to give you a bunch of 100% perfect fem seed, but some clone that was neglected to hermi from light stress, and/or perehaps haveing the fans/temps not working or what ever as i was getting sorted, means i get all hermi seed
wouldnt they just be fems of the wedding cake and if grown right stay female?

If, like in your example a plant suffers extreme stress and herms and produces either S1s (pollinates itself) or F1s ( pollinates something unrelated) or even F2s, F3s etc (where it pollinates siblings of the same filial generation) there is nothing to suggest the seeds produced will result in plants that herm when grown under a stable environment. The progeny will most likely have the capability to herm as the pollen donor has that gene, but more likely they will be straight female seeds (with a small percentage of herms in the mix)
That's a very different scenario to a plant that herms under good growing conditions. It's progeny are much more likely to herm as there was no external factors that induced the plant to herm in the first place so it is dominant trait and more likely to be passed on.
The best way to think about passing on traits if it seems confusing is to think of eye colour in humans. Brown eye is dominant and blue and green eye is recessive, so if a brown eyed man has a kid with a blue eyed girl the kids will have brown eyes. But if a blue eyed man has a kid with a blue eyed woman the kid will also have blue eyes. I have green eyes, my wife has brown eyes, our kid has brown eyes.
Using STS or CS to reverse a plant is a different kettle of fish as that is supressing ethylene production and basically fucking with the chemical make up of the plant. There is no evidence to suggest that reversed plants produce more or less herm traits than regular seeds.
