hey boys here is some of my little mini experiments i got going on. boredom killers lol
first up my bonsai vk
i have planted it off centre in one of the traditional zones and by keeping the light source over the opposite side im training it to grow towards the opposite side of the pot. i will use careful pruning to train it to the shape i want and maybe some gardening wire if necessary later on. this one is either going to be purely decorative or maybe i will graft some other strains to it later and keep it as a mother we will see.
my mini waterfarm heavy duty fruity
its been 3 days since germ. they all germed at the same time, all share the same light source, and have all been fed the same mix of h202, florablend, floralicious plus, and flora nova grow, 200ppm. i know people say not to feed seedlings for the first week or 2 but i have found that to be nonsense and they grow much faster with a light feeding like this imo. the interesting thing is im already seeing a marked improvement in the waterfarm plant the second set of leaves is much bigger than the other 2 and its 3rd set are coming through much larger. overall it just looks more developed. probably kind of hard to see in the photo but i would be willing to bet in a week or 2 the difference will be quite visible. i do have to figure out what sort of setup im going to use for the other 2. i could easily make more little waterfarms but i kind of want to just pop em in little pots of soil and put em outside. we will see.
then there is my hydro bonsai.
im going to bonsai this one also but im just going to keep it in that tiny rockwool cube as long as i can and just grow it hydro. this clone is expressing itself very differently to some of the other clones i have. really purple stem with preflowers on the new growth purple veins in the leaves like the original seedling and very vigorous growth, it was taken off a similar branch to the other bonsai however the soil one looks much different not quite as green close but not quite and the soil one isnt producing preflowers or showing anywhere near the amount of purple. so it will be interesting to see the difference between these 2.
i also have 2 more clones in rockwool cubes. both were taken lower off the vk from older branches and are expressing differently again. both are very compact very bushy, with none of the purpling. one of these will go outside in soil to flower a little bud and the other i will probably repot into coco maybe and keep as a mother

yeah i tried feeding them just water and just found they were much much slower. still healthy and green just slower
