anyone got opinions on clay balls and hand watering. I've been doin it for my first grow and it seems to be a waste due to not too much water retention. wats the best for wen hand watering? was thinking of changing to rockwool granules

@ n1K: They look great mate. I was actually only looking into purple strains last night as well lets face it purple is different so quite interesting. Let me know how she smokes as the majority of strains i looked at said they were low THC so be interesting to see how much it takes for a good rip.

Potency is about a 1 1/2 pipes maybe a full 2 if i feel like not moving for a while. LOL But the green floja are def. stronger but not by much. I would say a 7 in potency.

Yeah i bought his book SCG. Very nice pics throughout. I also like learning about different strains and he tells you stories of each of his strains. I also have DJ Shorts "how to grow exceptional cannabis" which is another great read from a expert breeder.
Thanks seedman, SCG , chunky for the comments. i havent tasted the purple one yet but i am excited to try it.

The bottom strain remind anyone else of popcorn or just me?

Yer smoke the purple already Knightmare as she is real purdy so be interesting to see how she smokes!!

Did you have many problems with her? Or fairly noob proof strain?

Most of the white bubba was popcorn nugs but these nugs are dense. they pack alot of weight.
The floja is easy to grow. It needs extra nitrogen in veg but that is about it. I was going to say she doesnt yeild well but this yeilded really nice. On the F1's of the Floja the buds were really fluffy and light but my f2 girl is also dense like the white bubba. The f2 yeilds better than the F1's and the F1's didnt get this purple. I will be using this strain for a while. I dont want to quick dry this floja. I will wait until i get atleast a 3 day cure before i try her.

Hey guys after a month and a half of waiting on plantet skunk :( I think its time to try another seed bank.. Is there still any trust worthy seedbanks out there that send to oz? I have been looking at speedy seedz? Anyone have any luck with them

hey man did u send an email confirming u paid for your order? I waited bout 3 weeks for my first order and read thru my order form thing again and realized i dint do so. after that it was only coupla weeks

any opinions on clay balls and hand watering??? it seems, when it comes to pots, its only good for drip feeding or ebb n flow, where the plants sorta get small doses but regularly. if you think its no good, which it seems that way to me, what are your suggestions of medium, apart from soil??? or what seems to work for your grow??? thanks peeps

u could try a hempy bucket with the hydroton that way when the roots reach the bottom u will only have to water every 2 days or so, or try perlite

cheers man...i just checked out the hempy buckets and they seem relatively easy and similar to the way things currently are. Cept any extra water drains straight into the res. Therefore re-use. Anyone use hempy buckets??

Yeah i use hempy buckets. I do perlite on the bottom and coco/perlite mix. I use the 97 cent buckets at bunnings and drill a hole 1 1/2 inches up. Thats it. I also water every 2 days.
