GE, Sylvannia are painful with warranties, PowerPlant do a instant swap over the counter if the lamp is possibly faulty, so they are a solid choice, and if your trying to run a retro fit lamp in a magnetic jb ballast the reason it will blow is due to the ballasts cycling rate, digital ballasts cycle much faster, my understanding was the retro fit lamps are for lumatek digital ballasts, saves you having to go and purchase full kits for mh, i personally wouldnt run it in a magnetic ballast.

i run retro fit on my jb and np and from what i read about digital ballast unless you buy specific globes made for digital ballast you will more than likely have problems the retro fit globes are made to work with magnetic ballast

Hey guys i was just wondering if someone would be able to help me out.
I have a couple of plants growing outside in soil and just using rainwater, on all the plants the bottom leaves have started turning yellow to almost white, i looked through all the plant problems and i came to the conclusion that it was a nitrogen def?
ive included some pics but i would also like to know what i should use to fix it? being form australia something that bunnings or somewhere like that will have?
thanks for anyones help :)

Any general purpose water soluable fertiliser, I would even throw some osmocote in the pots to prevent future deficiencies.
For a quick hit of nitrogen, good old Fish Emulsion works a treat.

Here is Brisbane any nutes in an outdoor pot are being quickly leached away because of the constant rain - if it is raining on your plants you need to keep up the nutes - this is where Osmocote is really useful.

How much "goodness" is in your butter?

If you worked out how many grams of butter is needed to get one person nicely bent, you could make up a batch of spaghetti bolognaise and have a dinner party.
rotfl
i put aprox 40g in it but its mostly just bud trim with a bit of popcorn it and the stem i trimmed out of the buds
also i used 250g of butter instead of 125
it would be pretty hard to work out potency man and i do know if you have to much you gunna be chucking ya guts up all night

yer careful with butter. It usually taste pretty rank so its better to use small amounts and just eat more or the taste puts you off. Ill be looking into Honey oil or at least refining the butter for the next batch i make.

Did you go butter ot copha?

Gah already hating DWC lol. I may have done the setup in such a way that makes it quite akward to maintain....but it seems to be ALOT of work.

Also how often should i clean my buckets and res? Its been going for about 2-3 weeks now and i feed it 2ml's/10L of 50% H2O2 like the bottle says yet i still seem to have a FAINT green build up near the top of the pots....Maybe its just light sneaking in through my nrts but i thought the H2O2 would of stopped that stuff :(

Light must be getting in I havent any mould slash algae in any of tubs if you can shine a torch on the tub And you can see light cover it in silverfoil tape h202 should slow growth but is mainly to help stop rot in the rootzone now I cleaned my tubs at the change of nutes hope that helps

hey guys and gals, this isnt really related to weed however if it all goes well it might make a PERFECT clone station or at least a way to keep SMALL mother plants.

I have a cupboard in my room and the top shelf is unused. Ive yet to measure but im guessing 1M (wide) x 0.5M (tall) and 0.5M (deep). This is too small for 4' tubes but im sure if i angle them right i can put them in, if not ill chuck in a few 3'.

Anyway, the thing will be used for mushy's so i need to keep the tempts quite high. I don't really want to chuck a normal air type heater in there at the risk of it starting fire. Any ideas on how to warm the place up (the most obvious being use normal globes that give off heat) without a fire risk?

Use a couple of 23 watt CFLs for your lighting - they give off a decent amount of heat when the heat is allowed to build up and should warm that space easily.
