When you transplant the plant will basically stop growing for a short period. It is going to happen no matter when you transplant though. Basically the shock of being pulled out of the ground(the pot) and put somewhere else takes a toll on the plant but it will recover and growth will start again. If you plant looks like crap for a little while after transplanting don't be worried it will spring back. Its ultimately up to you, I personally wait till flower begins(mid week 3) because I can not afford the extra space/soil that transplanting males would require. To each his own though, transplanting can be a little scary!

Yea and you can always use males to harvest pollen or practice grow techniques like LST or topping etc. They should start showing signs around the middle of week 3 or 4. I think the first couple of mine showed beginning of week 3 with the last one finally showing around the end of week 3 give or take a couple of days.
So for you I would say you will probably know by this weekend maybe a little longer.

hmmmmm ........ i would transplant as soon as i think its large enough to handle, and i've not had one die on me yet, but i understand what SJ is saying about sexing first... hadn't thought about that before... guess it makes sense

its all good fun and like you say i have learnt much from mis-adventure.... i tryed bagseed this year with 6/10 female... lost much to mites and still ended up happy enough... i got stacks of fem seeds now... but no where to grow them currently ... due to my uncontrolable stealth pc nightmare and lack of space for my new 4 ft tent setup, but soon i'll be rocking and slightly better informed this time

yeah man mine were massive ... out grew my small green house in no time... well just check my journal for list of errors :-) ... they had something like 12 weeks veg and went stringy, i ended up trying to bend a plant with 2 nice tops and snapped it about 12" from the pot "like propper f**ked it!" but it sort of healed up and went crazy with new growth.... thats when the mites landed!

May be worth considering the time of year you plant the seeds then for next years grow. Peace

thanks mate and yh im thinking about it fort id start with an auto flower just to see if i can do it my mrs doesnt like it coz she says i love my plants more then her ....which is true coz my plants dont talk all the time like she does lol
I feel ya...but with me, it's the hubby. He complains that I feed the plants better than I feed him and that I spend more time in the grow room than the living room. Oh well, what can I say? Seek peace and pursue it (Ps 34:14)

Hello! Waiting for my Auto assassin seeds to be delivered, too. Also regular seeds. Lets hope to get lucky. :D How big growbox would you suggest for 1 assassin? Also, can I just put seed into the big pot, so I shouldn't have to transplant it later? Also, GL with your grow.

Depends on final flowering size but you should be the judge of that.

No, start of in a small 3 inch pot and transplant up to bigger when established. Peace
