Auto Blackberry Grow

Nothing to report just yet. Started a single fem bean 9/18/13 in the ol' wet paper towel and woke up this morning (9/20/13) to a 3/4 inch pretty white root hanging out of the seed.

Put her in a 2" rockwool cube in a dixie cup surrounded with MG moisture control, sitting on a heat pad and a 14w 65K cfl about 10" above with reflector. This is my way, always has worked, i know i might catch some flack but i keep an close eye on my babies.

This is the plan...

- Sprout will get 2 14w 65K cfls 5 inchs spacing until i get a set.
- After growth starts i will put 4 14w 65Ks up within inches until I feel she can take some light.
- Once shes ready i will put my 125w cfl 65K up top and hang the 4 65w along side.
- Through out veg I will work up to 125w 65K on top with 6 small 65Ks around sides.
- After hairs start popping nice i will replace 65Ks with 4-6 27Ks (depending on size i pick up) along sides.

I will start posting pics regularly when it sprouts and keep a log of growth.

I will be going cheap with MG moisture control and something organic it help with flowering. Any tips on cheap/easy nutes to add would be considered and greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the support and any followers, Peace,
Devil1

**edited... Im running 65Ks for veg and my 125w cfl is a 65K... DUH!

She started peaking out at me today (9-22-12). Here are a couple pics of my set up and the look at my baby girl. I do not know what is more exciting than waking up and checking on your girl and she is coming through!!

Hey bro, I just germinated an auto blackberry- did you get this as a freebie from SOS? I have just put into small pots and will be finishing this in my backyard along with another auto called superbud. we can do indoor/outdoor comparisons along the way.

Do you have any info on the lineage? or breeder? can't seem to find anything.
cheers
I received a couple fem beans as a freebie from Sea of Seeds. I emailed them this exact question. Their reply was that they came from a "private" breeder out of Spain.

From the research I have put together this is the best I could come up with...

Blackberry (photo) = Black Domina (Indica) x Rasberry Cough (Sativa)

Im assuming the auto used to breed this strain would be a basic lowrider or maybe even the Auto Black Domina from Sagarmatha. Thats what i would have done.

I have one seed left and if I cannot get my hands on another Auto Blackberry (SOS no longer giving them out), Im going try and find a pack of Auto Black Domina Reg and search for a good looking male to cross with.

Thats another quest for down the road, I will start a thread about that when the time comes.

Peace,

It could still be something different though could be a black domina x blueberry with some sort of auto trait on the mix(very easy to distinguish blueberry)? the photo blackberry is what you described from sativa seedbank.
We'll never know i guess. Il upload some photos in the next few days to show you if there is any difference so far, it will be interesting to see what indoors will produce comapred to my outdoor although late september isn't the best temperature down here at the moment(mid to late 60's) but it's only going to warm up from now on.

cheers mate, all the best

Went ahead and transplanted today (9-25-13).

Soil - Miracle grow cut with good amount of Peat seed starter and lots of perlite.

Looks like this from bottom up...

Pea gravel 3/4 inch
perlite 1/2 inch
Soil mix

Made a cup size hole in the middle and bedded with seed starter, set transplant then surrounded about 1 1/2 inchs in seed starter.

This might sound weird to some of you but I have always planted by feel, dont know how to explain it, I just feel it as I go and create my pot of gold, Im very happy with it, it feels right.

I will be using "FullDuplex's" oxygenated watering technique he wrote about over on AF Network. He Keeps a PH balanced gallon of water with an air stone in the bottom running 24/7 to use as his plants water source.

All I have plans for as far as nutes is molasses starting week 4 or 5 depending on stage of growth. I will use nutes as needed if the plant asks for them.

Here are a couple pics...

Moved in the 125w cfl today. I swear this hood runs hot, ive ran 200+ watts of the small cfls surrounding the plant and have never had a problem. Im already hitting 86 at high. The grow has over kill on exhaust and fans. Here is a pic of what she looks like two weeks in. I also just wanted to show you a pic of my new baby girl, not gonna keep a log but just have to love when the babies pop out, it is a white widow x amnesia.

Same here man, I've just got that feeling that it's going to be great. Mine had been subjected to a week of shit storm weather being outside before even popping up,
but the last few days under the led she had gone bezerk growing- probably because of blasting sun on her during the day and led by night.

Mine seems to be more interested in stem and root growth than leaf growth(doubled in a day). I will definitely keep you updated.

What will you flower yours under? I'm having trouble deciding.

once the stem and roots set in the leaves have exploded in growth bro. i think she has all the right genes to put up with hell and come back strong. ive had a couple hot days in the box, 89-90 degrees. ill post a pic later today. in a week she has double in size, female parts starting to come in and and even some 5 leaf sets, but she hasn't gotten but maybe two centimeters taller.

im going to flower under clf light. I have a 250 hps i usually flower under but im going 100% clf on this one along with the miracle grow mix i made. kinda trying to put a "poor mans grow" on the books, you know? :)

Cool bro, It's good looking at your plants to see where mine will be in 10 days or so. I think so too, my 20 year+ Afghani landrace clone could take complete brutality and I bet Ruderalis is even stronger.

Your plants look like they are already vegging vigorously.

I'm vegging under a 400 hps for the first few weeks or when it starts to flower on 18/6, Then I'll then put it into the flower room with 2x 600 hps and a 180 watt led(400 hps equivalent).

How much clf wattage? I wouldn't call it a poor mans grow lol, 250-600w hps's don't cost too much in power. It will be intersting to see your plant under clf. Do you think I can get at least a couple ounces with my lighting? not too sure how much Ruderalis yields.

looking good, how far can you keep the 125W CFLs w/o getting to hot?

Today my auto broke the soil, I'm a couple of weeks behind you guys.

sub'ed!

edit: Auto Super Bud was the freebie from SoS I got and the one I'm growing.

I somehow lost my auto superbud. what are your setup plans for your blackberry.

Yeah I think you can only get these strains from freebies.
