Auto Feminized Seed Crop

SLH

It is not perfectly stable, I saw two phenos.
One was slightly darker but pretty similar.
Both yielded really well.

I crossed them with Lowryder2 because that is one of the most stable autos I know of and I wanted slightly shorter plants.

As soon as I can get around to it I'll do another seed crop with SLH as the shemale times all my previous crosses.
yeh thats one of the ones i thought it might be but i cant find a breeder. And marijuana-seeds.nl sometimes dont use breeder packs, i got some 'early misty' seeds ina clear baggy with 'em' scribbled on with biro :/ did they come in the breeder packaging for you? thanks

No breeder packs, they always come in clear small bags with hand written initials
i just find that really tacky, but i have only ordered once. So maybe the beans really are always the real deal. Im just really skeptical, especially when i can just order from herbies and get proper unopened breeder packs for the same price! Do you always order from there then?

The auto SLH/pineapple kush, autoberry and lowryder2 are cheap and the real deal. I've only ordered autos and a couple regulars. I'm in a med state and can get beans in some dispensaries.
Next time I order beans, I'll check herbies out.

LR2 x Autoberry about day 45.
Pretty good for not a ton of sunlight.
It is 19" and hides very well among my other plants.

LR2 x Autoberry on the left about day 52. It should be done in 15-20 days.
LR2 x Super Lemon Haze on the right, a couple weeks younger. It is female.

Looking good Trousers! How tall does your autos usually get and yield (dry)?

Also, sidebar question. If I only have one Autoflower seed (assuming its viable). Can I just isolate and spray one branch at around day 14 to day 28 (once daily) so that pollen will just be on the one branch? Then take that pollen off dry it a bit (not sure how long) then crush it to a bit of powder then use a paintbrush to brush that powder onto the pistils from the rest of the SAME one plant (no clone or second plant involved)? The branches that were not sprayed with Tiresias Mist?

How long after 14 days of misting the one branch does it take to see te pollen sacks? Or should they be there after the 14 days of spraying and you can start to dry and use that right away on the rest of the one plants pistils?

Do you think because it's an Autoflower seed, the ability for everything to be dialed in is much harder. Because of its shorter life cycle.

Maybe I'm just over thinking it too much. But that's what happens when you play the waiting game lol. Thanks Trousers!

I have only grown autos one time, besides the seed crop. I grew 4 under a 600 watt hps. 2 SLH and 2 Pineapple kush.
They all got close to 3.5 feet. The SLH yielded 5 and 6 ounces. The pineapple was about 1.5 ounces each. That was consistent with the breeder info.
The description for SLH actually said something like 'up to 100 grams' which we easily passed. This was actually done at a friend's house. He is a bit of a slacker, so I suggested autos. He probably would have killed regular plants. I was so impressed with the quality, ease of growing etc that I decided to do a seed crop. That was done in a friend's shed with a t5. Those plants were less than 30". They were of course infested with seeds. It was tough conditions in the shed. In the daytime it could hit 90+ in there. The autos don't care.

All the auto seeds that resulted have been planted. None have gone over 24". These are all outside plants, planted in July. I believe they will be a bit taller if grown inside. They are all Lowryder2 crosses. We will see on the yield. I am not expecting much from the plants I sprouted in late July.

I just built a greenhouse. Next year I will have probably grow two autos at a time starting in March and going through November. As soon as my friend picks his outdoor plants, he is going to plant 12 autos. He plans on putting them outside in the day and then in his shed (the seed crop shed) at night under a t5. he is waiting because of medical plant counts, he can have 12, and the police have been watching him. (stupid cops, go worry about someone doing something illegal, instead of growing plants).

That is a tough one. I have found that trying to self a plant may be a bit tricky. I don't really know. When I sprayed my auto, it had a two week head start.
You can definitely save pollen. If you only spray part of the plant, it will self eventually, but you may have to let the bud go much longer than you would if you planned on smoking it. You may want to google saving/freezing pollen. I use some desiccant to dry it out. I have some auto pollen in the freezer but I do not know if it is viable.

I think most plants need about 4 weeks to develop seeds. It is possibly less with autos. I didn't really keep track on the seed crop. I didn't care about buds, just seeds. I think the first plant was cut down at about 75 days. We let the seeds form until they were falling out of the buds.

If you self a plant the resultant seeds would be F1, basically clones of the plant in seed form.

How long after 14 days of misting the one branch does it take to see te pollen sacks? Or should they be there after the 14 days of spraying and you can start to dry and use that right away on the rest of the one plants pistils?
The part that is sprayed will be a bit stunted. It will show pollen sacks a little while after the rest of the plant shows hairs. They will seemingly take forever to open. If you want a seed crop, leave the branches on the plant. you can still collect pollen. Once they open you can just hold paper under the branch and shake it.

No. I have been growing regulars for almost 4 years. I am just starting to get good at it. My first go at autos was under pretty bad conditions, with a drunk guy mixing fert and watering and heat issues and the yield was still great. I think the shorter life cycle is a benefit and the plant may develop seeds faster because it is an auto. I'm still learning, so I'll be following your progress.

Maybe I'm just over thinking it too much. But that's what happens when you play the waiting game lol. Thanks Trousers!

You'll be fine.
Save some pollen for later, then you just paint it on one lower branch.
Remember, when you are trying to make seeds if you fail you get a bunch of pot.

Those are some terrific results. I was always interested in SLH but wasn't sure who made the auto. Heard it's a great smoke. I am trying to get my Marijuana access card so I can grow legally for my pain. Think I may have nerve damage along with a whole bunch of other sh-t, it sucks and my doctor can tell I'm in pain, so she reffered me to a neurologist which I'm gonna see by the end of the month. I'm gonna explain to the neurologist that no other medicine compares to the pain relief and stress relief that the cannibinoids in marijuana give off (throw in a technical term to get his juices riled up). And that it is even stated by Health Canada that it is used on patients for pain relief. I am a perfect candidate who benefits from the pain and stress relieving effects of MJ. I think once I speak to my neuro and he sees all my pain, he'll be a little more open to the discussion of MJ. But sometimes, a neuro could just be ill-informed about MJ and it's benefits that they dismiss anything related to that. Let's hope my neuro isn't one of those guys or gals. I'm sure if I went to a neuro who is open to the subject and have possibly signed a few marijuana access forms, he'd see that I would benefit from the program.

I see. I'm not really planning on smoking it at all. I just want to be able to gets auto seeds from just one autoflower seed. The bottle of the Tiresias Mist says isolate one branch and spray for X amount of days. So I assume you do that for 14 days at around day 14, then it naturally will pollinate the remainder of the same plant that didn't get sprayed. Or I could shake the one branch that is showing pollen so it gets alll over the plant and with a piece of paper underneath, catch any excess pollen. I also like the idea of storing it for a bit, so that if the project didn't work out, I could grow another one and use that pollen on that new seed. I've seen YouTube videos where people pull off the male pollen sacks, crush it a bit, then use a soft paint brush to gently apply the pollen powder to the female flowers. I thought if I selfed the plant with would be called S1 not F1. Was that a typo from you?

The part that is sprayed will be a bit stunted. It will show pollen sacks a little while after the rest of the plant shows hairs. They will seemingly take forever to open. Yea, want a seed crop. This all makes sense. I'm interested in collecting pollen as well for a 'just cause'. Will definately share the results once I've commenced. Not starting that project til the middle of October though because I'm moving and don't wanna move plants as well. That's a big no no.

You'll be fine.

Yea, I like the idea of saving some pollen because if things don't work out I can grow another auto and pollinate that. I also never thought of it that way. If the project failed I'd still get a good ounce maybe still.

Peace bro and good luck with your experiments as well, you're doing excellent in my eyes. ttyl

Ok if you were going to make a Auto Permafrost Feminized? How would you go about doing that.

Permafrost = Trainwreck x White Widow

I noticed that Dinafem has a White Widow Auto but i can't find a Trainwreck Auto... Really love that Permafrost and would love to try a Auto Fem one... mmmmm MMMMM

I am not very familiar with breeding.
I doubt that permafrost is just one cross, trainwreck x white widow.
It is more likely the result of numerous crosses.

What I am interested to see is if fem seed crosses are stable at all.
Time will tell.

Day 58 and the LR2 x Autoberry is almost done.
A few amber trichomes on the leaves, but still not 100% cloudy. The weather looks good, I may let it go another 7-10 days depending on the trichomes. The LR2 was done in around 63-66 days, the autoberry took about 70. So I expect it to be in there somewhere.

I went really light on the nutes, I only gave it nutes 2-3 times and very dilute.
I mostly just watered from my pond. I did give it a shot of unsulphured molasses recently.

The Lowryder2 traits are dominant, as I expected.

Just put in my order for the mist great thread! Trousers Also what size air pots do you use and do you like using them , thinking about ordering some 3gal air pots

I use too big air pots, for the most part.
I have two 5 gallon ones for my tent.

the autos are in 7.5 liter (1.9 gallon) pots.
You could grow full size regular or auto in pots that size, they just need more watering. I got the 5 gallon for my tent so I only have to water once or twice a day. that is with coco.

The three gallon ones are great. You will be able to use those with regular and autos pretty much for life.

If I can do it, anyone can.
