Auto flowering and 12 12

There are numerous opinions on the light schedule for auto flowering. For the most part, people believe that 18/6 is the best because it promotes growth more than it promotes budding. And the dark period tends to show more healthy and green

Hope that helps

The only advantage to autos is that they can grow with 24 hr light from seed and perhaps get done sooner. It won't hurt to do them 12/12, but why deny them the energy when they don't require the dark?

I've also heard of people using 18-6 for the majority of the grow and switching to 12-12 in the last two weeks to increase bud growth.

Nobody runs autos on 12/12. No auto breeders reccomend 12/12. 18 hours plus unless you wanna harvest a few grams.

I read that from a grower that was experiencing difficulty with the greenness and healthiness of his leaves, so he switched to a 12/12 light schedule and it corrected itself. There could have been something else in play, so I just edited my post to not mislead anyone.

Ok I will buy that I guess.

just run them with your other plants if you have others currently growing if not ive heard of people running everything from 16/8, 18/6, and 20/4 just because you do want a little dark for some resting time but they dont require it
