they are genetically set to bloom at a certain stage of groth regardless of light cycle i would keep under the veg light schedule and feed veg nutes until it goes into flowering then switch to a flowering nute

Auto flowering plants should be grown with a 20/4 light cycle. The nutes depend on the strain your getting. Some auto flowering plants really dont like being fertilized.

Here is a link to the Official Lowryder grow guide written by the Joint Doctor who is the creator of Lowryder. http://www.420source.com/post/207 Even if you don't get a Lowryder X strain, it's still good knowledge as far as nutrients goes. Autoflowering strains don't like too many nutrients so take a look at it. I have been growing Lowryders 2's over a year now and I love it because you don't have to wait as long to find out what the sex is, and since you don't have to change the light schedule you can add young ones with the older ones and constantly have fresh buds. I know you can do this with cloning, but I don't have the room to keep a mother and clones and flowering plants.

Autoflowering plants are great. I'm finishing my Lowlife Auto AK47 with a second batch a month behind. I grow them HPS the whole time. I use FoxFarm soil ferts. Veg nutes for the first couple weeks, then flower nutes to the end. This strain has had no problems with over fertting. I started at 1 1/2 weeks with half strength, no problems. Next feed was full strength, they love it. Can't seem to give them enough. I keep lights on 18/6 the whole way through. I've tried 20/4 but it does not make much difference. If you want to view an inspirational grow using this strain check this out: http://www.marijuanapassion.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27951. Simply amazing. He's pulling 3 ounces off some of his bigger plants. These have been the easisest plants to grow and they are looky VERY tasty. Chopping next week.

I asked because with organic nutrients it harder to overfertilize, and they won't burn your plants either. I use Earth Juice nutrients which are all organic.
