I have 1g/hr drippers, hose/manifold run.
Anyone try the inexpensive diaphragm pumps out.
Running 8-20ish drippers/ pump.
4.5gal/min 40psi. Is what I’m looking at. I do have some larger flood and drain pumps but they probly dont build enough head pressure for the pressure compensating drippers.
Thoughts appreciated.

I have been running this with a 12V converter, works great. You may check them out to see if they have a 4.5 gpm pump.

Ran this with a 24 plant SOG.

i use a pump rated in bar to power them
the small aquarium square pump wont work
these usually only lift water at 1 meter or 2 ( .1 or .2 bar)

the water flow dont matter with these drippers
you need to look at the pressure of the pump

i use a 1 bar 350w 3000 liter/hour pump to power 60 drippers on 3 meters

these pc drippers ( netafim, rainbird ..)usually open between 0.5 And 4 bar. over or under these figures and they wont drip

exemple of th pump i use: all the pump of this type dont work ... some dont push pressure, just a big rate)

"max pressure= 1 bar"

These are what I am using with the 12V pump.

The white hardware is a quick disconnect so I can remove the plants from the tent to work on them.

Does the dripper have flow control? And your pressure reg maintains 35 psi Down stream of it?
Thanks for the help.
I tested my pump and the flows are pretty even. May use it on one table and an RV pump on the other.

Sorry for the double pic.

As far as maintaining pressure I am running 5 plants, and I adjust the micro spray till it stops just short of the edge of the pot. With this unit and a two gallon coco Smart Pot I run the first cycle of the night at 2 minutes, start getting runoff at just over a minute and getting 25 - 30% runoff. Run a 21 gallon rez, get 4 plus days cycles out of it, so around 4.5 + gallons a day with about 1.25 gallon runoff. This unit does a good job of saturating the root zone.

I have tested 16 of these hooked up to two Orbit manifolds and had plenty of pressure. Did not have the volume to do my 24 plant sog, but I was running a lower volume pump then, it was a 2.1 gpm, I think this 3 gpm would do 24 units.
