;thanks again. I am so glad I didn't get any dousche bag comments. I literally HATE posting things on here because I usually get the smart asses who come here to tear ppl down.

3 days darkness huh? is this one of those controversial topics? some do it, some don't? whats the benefit is of 3 days darkness? thanks YoungbuzZ
It doesn't hurt anything to go dark before you chop. I don't have any proof that it does anything extra, I've noticed that when I do go dark that it is normally good enough to remember.

wow...my NIrvana Maui Waui using AN Pnp or whatever must not have enuf N, cuz that's what they always look like..self flushing almost...so I'm gonna do more N this run..cuz yellow leaves too early, like 5th week, but she tends to run long like a Sative, 10 weeks seems good for her....so i'm cranking more N...i think that's exactly what happened to this greenthumbmcgeee maybe he missed by just a week,..when it's bad forf me like real yellow...the the lower nugs won't be as dense..plus this Maui strian takes forever to get orangey trichs..stays milky for a month for cryng out lout lol

this was one of the good runs, maybe right near harvest checkin trichs...shouldn't the leaves be more green? seen lots of big frosty buds in forums late in bloom...don't happen to me even without a flush.

Well i believe the three day darkness is supposed to stress your plant into thinking see has missed her opportunity for insemination. Since she is flushed and low on nutes she should also be dry by the beginning of the night period. She feels like she is about to end her life cycle. And so uses the last saved energy and nutrients to protect her self from the sun, elements or oncoming "winter" months in her last ailing days. And I believe cannabis's natural defense is crystal and thc (again this is just my opinion) but I believe the THC acts as a deterent toward "predators" and with the obvious crystals that come with the boost in Thc. The crystals protects the plant from the elements. Having a dry plant toward the end with low RH would cause the plant to resin up in defense since it is severely stress. The three day darkness is just a last attempt to stress the plant to boost thc %. This is arguable and highly debated between groups of people, but I haven't had anyone prove it has done damage to yield so why the hell not is my thought. By the last three days your either going to have the yield or your not 3 days ain't doing shit especially at that time and in the plants elderly stage. It's predominantly just to boost the glisten/thc effect.

*disclaimer* haha..
Like I said I am not an expert! This is only my opinion from what I have read and heard through the grapevine.
For a scientific explanation or one that is properly structured DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH! There are plenty of threads on the 72hr darkness cycle.
It is not a new concept and I did not originate it.

I don't think you'll get any guff around here man. I try to keep my threads on the up and up.... and your theory sounds sensible enough to me man.

yr plant almost looks exactly like mine. and your totally right. I looked at the calendar, and I figured out, that I counted it from the day it sprouted up, not the day it germinated, so there was almost a weeks time difference right there, so its more like in wk 9-10, and that makes total sense, I feel silly now, rookie mistake, I got all worked up for nothing. lol, this is my first auto, and I am sure it shows, thanks again you all

looks great... don't worry about it... if you REALLY don't like those yellowing leaves ad d a little N to the mix..... if you've done that with no result then flush the soils with distilled water.

And three days darkness is a technique 8used for specific strains... like white strains..... (White widow etc)

was using big bud for wks 2-4 of flower, I highly doubt it was that...but that's when the prob started.
Yet that's exactly what it is and one of the most common reasons for premature yellowing on photos and autos, high PK boosters that fill nutrient manufacturers pockets and cause plants to suffer the (very obvious) N deficiency. It's not like it has cost you a lot on that one plant, but at the very least start using it a week or two later next time and you'll see they will stay healthier longer (with a tad more swollen and frosty bud).

3 days of darkness is going to do as much good as a product called "big bud".

Nice job on the LST by the way.

OK, so ANOTHER RUN with the maui waui, I tried to keep N up throughout flower, but half way through she goes yellow and has been slowly dropping leaves since...i think with the more N i have a little more production ..and she is running so long, like 80 days..very sativa like....here's the latest pics ready to harvest. I can't get trichs to go orange..always milky...also thru one outside and she's much darker green so really points to still being N issue, maybe also chlorine in my water but i don't think so. was low when i checked town numbers.

hey you guys, haven't been on here much, cause naturally, I got 2 grows under my belt, I know EVERYTHING I need to know now......NOT! lmao! I just haven't been around cause (knock on wood) I have had a problem free plant.
I Have switched over from Auto's on to photos, because I think I have a lttle more control on the photos, rather then the autos telling me what they are goinna do, you auto growers know what I mean. anyway man, currently growing a dinafem power kush,. (afghani/skunk#2) and I have found not ONE single bad review on this strain. I gave my buddy 8 clones, and 8 of 8 rooted, but he ended up having spider mites....and guess what, they have spread to his new cuttings I just gave him. the only reason I gave them to him, was because I wanted him to keep a mother of this strain around since I don't have the space.... he says it should still be alright, he is battling the fuck outta these evil fuckers. I personally have yet to deal with spider mites, but what I have found (and he has already tried it to no prevail) was neem oil, and non toxic dish soap such as dawn ( I think, correct me if I am wrong)
anyway...hahha, talk about a stoner....I intended to get on here, and tell you how my auto bubblicious turned out, yield etc....and talked about EVERYTHING exept that~ lol

bubblicious turned out pretty good,. I cant say that it couldn't had been better....that or the strain is WAY over hyped. It did get it you stoned, had a good tast,, but I wonder how much of that good sweet taste cam from the bud candy. idk. gonna have to just experiment. I yielded about a solid OZ on this plant...and it spelled delicious.....when It was fresh, then as I dried it, and started curing it, it got more and more of a hayish smell. that eventually went away, but I could still smell hints. no one else said they could, but you know how it is when your the chef. lol I gottta couple more hanging around.....but I also got a sensi star, I got auto blue mystic, and shit load of bagseed crap shooters. lol

yea, I will be the first to say I admit my weakness lies in the curing process, and I really hate putting so much time into something and have it turn out half assed just because I am inexperienced in the last step......you know?!?!?

so...... bring on the tips, comments, whatev guys, for the most part, you ALL have been so helpful in the past. I will post pics of my new baby soon if you guys are interested.
