Autoflower growing medium questions

So I want to try growing autoflowers

I know they're much more sensitive to nutes than photoperiod plants.

I would like to use happy frog soil or whitney farms organic or maybe coco if its better to do autoflowers in, but what nutes should I mix into the soil for my autos so I can just water and grow? The biggest thing im looking for right now is how simple it can be done

Thanks for the advice and answers in advance!

If you want easy to do just add water method, look into biotabs product line. It works in various mediums and can also be used in coco hydro. If you are going to make regular soil grow. I recommend using the biotabs and putting it in a mix with coco and soil equal amounts with perlite or something for aeration mixed in good amount. If you buy a ready mix of coco and clay pebbles 60/40 and some quality soil with perlite like biobizz allmix equal amounts, you get a good mix.

You can use this hydrocorn/coco + soil 50/50 mix even without biotabs. Coco makes the soil less hot, so its nice for autoflowers just getting started.

Ok, thanks for the information, I will definitely look into bio tabs, but I won't be able to spend alot buying 2 different mediums to mix this time though but ill definitely be writing down the information you've given me for a later time, thank you

Decide how often you want to water. In soil I’m 2-3 days in flower. In coco it’s going to be everyday. And you have to give nutrients every watering. Stick with the soil if you want to water less often.

Its not that expensive. Nutes will cost you much more than soil. You can also buy coco in bricks that you need to soak which is cheaper than buying a ready mix. It would actually be cheaper to buy that coco and mix it with soil than buying soil only. But if you buy coco in bricks, also get some clay pebbles(hydro corn) or perlite to mix with it.

Why do you want to grow autoflowers?

I grow in 100% straight coco. No perlite, pebbles, or anything else. Plants grow great. I used to mix perlite in with it but found out it's not needed.

Just use the Happy Frog and top dress later. I wouldn't try to do a water only coco grow. Some people do it but most end up with issues. That guy on youtube that does it has nothing but nasty trashed plants. You don't need expensive cannabis specific nutrients. A decent all purpose 4-4-4 blend with micronutrients is enough. Down to Earth makes a good 4-4-4 fertilizer.

What do you all use for nutes? Again I like simple as said above . Is a 7-4-10 good? Used 24-14-11 before and felt too hot.

Got it. I’m week 2 haven’t feed any nutes yet and I’m trying to plan to introduce nutes next week? Using Fox farms medium now.
