Hey guys, I am completely new, and I wanted to find out what is going wrong with my first ever grow (if there is anything wrong!).. To me it looks like there is something up!
All the new growth leaves look perfect, it's just the old growth is drooping and not looking to well, but with out any signs of nutrient deficiencies... just wondered if anyone could shed some light as to why this is..
It's in week 2 of the vegetative stage (I think), it's about 6-7 inches high and doesn't seem to be growing upwards, only a lot of new growth coming out of it everywhere. It has quite a strong stem, under a 125W Cfl (6400k) bulb.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!:eyesmoke:photo 1.jpgphoto 2.jpgphoto 3.jpgphoto 4.jpgphoto6.jpg

what kind of soil? are you feeding it nuets? how much water are you giving it.... tap water? ro water? ... need to explain a little more of what your doing for anyone to help... but it looks like overwatering from your pictures.. there not looking to bad, let them dry out almost completely before you water again.

also transfer it to a bigger pot soon, autoflowers will do better in 3-7 gallon pots.

Bio bizz light mix with a tiny bit of perlite I put in for the sake of it. I fed her for the first time today with bio grow, half strength.. I would doubt it's over watering myself, as I've been so careful to let it dry out completely each time, as I've read quite a lot it's a new growers mistake to over-water a lot.. I'm leaving 2 days space between each watering at the moment, and by that time the soil is bone dry at about 5 inches deep.
I'm using tap water that has a Ph of 6.9 last time I checked it up.
Thanks for replying!

welcome to RIU

research <<< is 1 thing you can never do enough of.

in addition to guest34s questrions what is the current pot size which your plant is potted in? i feed mine every 3-4 days depending on how dry the soil looks when mine reach 2 weeks old.

also if you know the strain which your growing that can help because you can then search for your strain type grow diarys which are actually very helpful for newbies as they can be used as a guide to compare your grow at certain stages.

how much water do you water her with? a cup? 2 cups?.. also do you let your tap water sit out for 24-48 hrs before watering?

Are there holes in the bottom of your pot?

It looks like overwatering, high heat or lack of oxygen to the rhizosphere, to me.

Hey Curious... It's currently in a 10 Litre pot, and the strain is Super Iced Grapefruit! :) I'll definitely try having a search around for it.
I have been watering leaving 2 day gaps, as that's when it seems to become completely dry at about 4-5 inches deep, but you think that could have something to do with it? Thanks for replying (:

no air circulatin in that little box? not that that's the problem just wondering =)
Hmm, I did wonder if this would be a problem, as it really is a very little box! It has got a fan running directly into it, which was to try and get fresh air to it.. Also does the job of cooling to just above room temperature in there..

Hey Dj, yes there are holes in the bottom of the pot... I do wonder if the lack of oxygen or fresh air in general could be a problem..
Thanks for the replies people! (:

Here are some pictures of some clones that belong to my girlfriend and I. They got kicked out of our main grow room due to the light cycle change. We just recently got them under 2 cfls in a room with a ceiling fan until better can be provided. They were sitting in my kitchen near the window but with no air flow at all during times when we are gone and not much when we were home. It gets hot in our kitchen to top it off. Hot and no air flow also means they did sit in moist soil often.

Here is a few pics of our Skunk #1. We had heat issues with the light being close and issues with our RH. When we water our room has high humidity but becomes very dry in between watering. It all definitely caused issues with our plant photosynthesizing correctly. Other than what appeared to be heat spots the yellowing looks similar to yours. I think and I'll repeat I THINK the last two pics are light burn. Hope this helps.

I think your over analyzing things. Relax. She looks fine. Just dont make the common newbie mistake and over water. I've learned less is more when it comes to growing. Read your plant. She will tell you what she wants and needs.

My friend actually came round earlier and told me this.. I think you're probably right. If I wait for the signs with out over doing anything, I can't really go wrong can I.. Thanks Omar
