Hey man I always like doing autos I think there good for a mid season crop without having to pull a tarp and light dep them.

Usually they always take around 90days even though they say usually 8-9 weeks.
It usually ends up being about a month of veg then u start to see pre flowers.
Iv always had the best luck with royal queen northern lights.

I'm in so cal so it's pretty warm here I pop them inside on either 1/2o so that harvest will be around 4/20 or pop them 2/1 so there done the first of May. By that last month of flower the days are longer again and usually no rain nice and sunny I had some great Nl buds the other year. I just ordered 100 and there going into 10 gal pots I'm hoping for atleast 2 oz a plant but hey closer to a qp would be nice here's a pic of my last crops of them.

Also people say try to transplant the least amount of times as possible so I start in rockwool cubes (1.5x1.5 inch) then once u see a tap root usually 3-4 days later go ahead and put them in there final pot. Or just go start into the final pot.
I just do the rockwool so I case some don't pop I don't waste soil on them.

I have a couple freebie Auto Seeds, Auto Chemdog's which were started and will finish in 1 gallon pots, which are both at ~1m (3 ft) and the leaves are huge, like as big as my Vietnamese sativas leaves. Just started a Auto Pounder with Cheese from Auto Seeds as well. Autos werent getting this big 3 yrs ago....

Yep, would say average they should run would be 90 days from seed pop. I dont transplant at all because I stunted them before doing that, no topping, etc. Plant them and let them grow.

Those are some nice looking plants bro. Thanks for the pics. I was gonna start them in a party cup and cut the bottom and stick it whole in 20 litre grow bags. The sun is beaming here. I've got my spot set up in th bush, and I'm pretty sure I've got my soil lined up. I started germing in paper towel so they should be ready by Tomorrow. Will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the advice bros

Hey man another kiwi here. I've been doing small scale outdoor autos the last couple of years. Best bet for yield I've found is to germinate in paper towels as you have but once they've popped put them straight into the pot you want them to finish in. Transplanting stunts them for about a week which, with their short veg is alot. Mine live in a greenhouse and I have issues with mold on most strains. Best yield and most consistent strain I've found is auro jack herer by original sensible seeds. Good luck with your grow and pop up a free pics if ya can.

Hey man, sorry for the late. Just a quick update, I've only got 4 plants starting to shoot off now, lost 3 due to a flash storm. Will take pics and post them up tomorrow. Thanks for the advice

seems like a waste of time if your getting those yields better off with normal fems ae. I just got me some white widow-moby dick-bomb big bomb- bubba kush- plus heaps of freebies i plan to clone for outdoors this season should get some huge yields plus afew thousand of my outdoor strains ive been swapping with other NZ growers :-)

So far your right! It has been a waste of time but I keep tryin, it's not the yield that pisses me off, it's the quality, so far they have all sucked :(. I get takin in by the "it was really dank", I think they meant it really stank lol

Hey guys I'm from the South Island of nz I want to ask around when all you start up your babies for the season as I'm thinking of doing some this year any info would be great thanks

Are you able to start them indoors? If yes then that's what I would do, a couple of weeks indoors under t5's then out. Not sure of the weather there but your heading into spring so when ever you can get them out and have them under 15 hours of light min. would be what I would do. Also do your homework re strain, there are lots of crap auto's and a few good auto's. I'm at 1 out of 4 for a good potent one lol.

Yeah i plan to start them of indoors as will be to cold and i ordered some feminized seeds, not a big fan of autos rather use fems or regular seeds. so 15 hours of light is best will wait till then to get them out side thanks for the reply man.

As far as I know its more used by the growers in the north I have never grown it my self as I'm still an amateur an only grew the past few years I would say there are a few who use the strain in the south though far as I know worth the grow though if you can get ur hands on some
