Autoflower strains question on light

I just finished with 1 Lowryder 2 that I had on 20/4 the entire cycle. She yielded 3 oz. wet (about 86 gms). In the CFL room, someone commented that it might have yielded more on 12/12. This isn't what I'd read, but would love confirmation one way or the other as I have another lady in flower with about 4 weeks to go.

Thoughts- 20/4 or 12/12 for autoflowering strains? :-?

Auto flowering plants are not dependent on 12 hours uninterrupted darkness before they switch to flowering. From my limited experience and research the best is 18/6 which can be reduced to 16/8 after one month with no loss of yield. Giving it more hours of light certainly won't do harm but probably won't make much difference. 12/12 doesn't sound like a good idea but it would still be workable if you wanted to flower some of your non-auto flowering plant under the same light.
