You can always keep some pollen around from a nice strain to add to a nice young lady in the future.

I ordered 10 reg short rider seeds last week to plant all at once to have a big ole orgy together and get me some seedness going.

How will I know when the male pollen sacs are about to open? also what is the best way to store pollen long term?

The first time I tried to store pollen, in a air tight pill bottle. I FAILED. lol, actually It just molded within a day and a half

after I had put 'em in the bottle. Just make sure you leave the pill bottle open to allow it to dry.

Put it in a cupboard or something out of the way then once dried out you should be able to lid it up and store.

As far as when to cut the pods off, Just keep a close watch on them, they will go from a small pod to a swollen pollen sack over

night and be opened up before you know it.

I generally wait until I see one pod about to bust open "anywhere on the plant" and collect pods from different spots on him.

Those about to open should open on up during the dry.

Once you get your pods cut off, go ahead and cut him down and get his corpse far far away from your crop.

Alright guys, my BB Auto is budding, they're about a 3rd the size of my little finger nail. When should I start feeding just water??

What do you mean "they're about a 3rd the size of my little finger nail"?

You should use just water the week before harvesting so as to flush the nutes and produce some nice tasty bud :-D
Some pics might help here - if you have any, post em up and we'll be able to better comment on when harvest date might be (and therefore when to start using water)

Nice grow - keep at it!

Looks like u got a bit of nute burn on ur leaves but that ties in with the overfeeding...

I think you got a bit more to go yet - they aint bulked up at all which will happen as they flower. How old are they?

If you got any flowering nutes, switch to them now for a couple of weeks and keep us posted!!

They're 57 days?? And you say you're growing Big Buddha Auto? They should be finished at around 60 days... Tho yours don't seem to have finished flowering by far... I might be wrong but something seems odd here!! Keep them on flowering nutes and get back to me - I'd like to see the outcome!

Ive entered this thread to find reassurance to ordering an auto flowering strain. Who's got it? Also would help to know which strains of autoflowering you have grown/like and what company.

I'm currently growing Lowryder, Lowryder #2, Big Buddha Auto and Diesel Ryder - gunna put pics up and start my grow journal very soon. They are all VERY good plants, mostly because they can grow pretty much anywhere. My last grow was Lowryder #2 indoor and this time they are all outdoor (well, going to be once I've hardened them off!). There are quite a few Autos out there now but my personal favourite has to be Lowryder #2 or #1. They have a great rep and don't fail to disappoint both in yeild and taste. That being said, this is my first time growing Big Buddha Auto but Big Buddha never normally disappoint so I am eagerly awaiting the results!! The great thing about any of the ones I've mentioned is that they are all Dwarf so are very discreet which is great for someone like me! Even tho Dwarf has lower yeild (obviously), it does mean you can have many many plants creating a true Sea of Green :-D
Hope this helps dude

Hey guys

Just letting everyone know Im not dead. Sorry I havent been around, my wife and I just had our first baby and life has been super SUPER crazy recently. No more indoor ops for me, but some Diesel Ryders will be going out to the veggie garden asap!! Anyone grown these near their residence outdoors? The smell indoors was insane, Im hoping that the winds outside will disperse it better.

Sorry if I have missed any questions, but I only log on to my computer MAYBE once a day now, and RIU maybe once a week to check PMs. Hope all is well with everyone, and I hope this thread is still helping many people. Ill get some shots of my Diesel Ryders as soon as possible, as long as I dont get nervous and back out. I now have over $1000 worth of lights and supplies that Im too scared to use. Amazing how your reasoning changes when you are responsible for a 6 pound human :)

Peace

Outdoors a strong smelling strain can stink up to about 10 or more feet. Wind wll carry the smell the way its blowing obviously.
