Autoflower Thread & Resource Guide

Many factors to consider. If you are using a peat based soiless mix, I would only use veg nutes if it takes longer than 3 weeks to show sex. Even then, I'd start small at like 1/4 strength or something. After that, I would jump right to flowering nutes. Depending on the brand of nutes you are using, I would do something like 1/2 strength once a week. I find that autos really don't need all that much. If you decide they need more and want to go higher than 1/2 strength, work your way up slowly. I use Botanicare and 1/2 strength once a week seems to work for me with the strains I've grown.
the plants are at 2 1/2 weeks old. All the cotyledons have began to turn yellow with some slight yellowing on the leaves. My plant food says 2 oz. for 3-6 inch plant, so should I mix 2 oz with like 2 liter bottle and feed through soil

What kind is it? 2oz of pretty much anything I can think of seems like a lot. Nutes generally come with instruction on how much to add to a given volume of water. Time release stuff usually tells you how much to use in a given volume of soil.

If at this point you are noticing some yellowing, especially on the true leaves, it might time for a light feeding, but I'd say it's more likely being caused by something else. Overwatering is a possibility and much more common.

like soa just said most autos only live for 2months, and your 6 weeks in so its just telling u that your plant is passing on.i somtimes get brown hair like 1 week into flowering but if there isnt many of them then theres nothing to worry about

I can say I've learned a very important lesson about autoflowers.

They need to be pampered at veg because I had to neglect this crop during it's short veg stage (life is the great enemy of my grow room) and most of the plants are terribly small. The smallest ones have been a couple grams dried.

The best I've pulled is 3/10th of an ounce dried. A few of them are decent sized and one might actually surpass the 1/2 oz per plant I was getting.

I've grown the same strains, under the same conditions (except I used t5s throughout instead of the HID light I've used for bloom with this current crop) and pulled an average of 1/2 oz per plant. I'm going to run out of weed before my next crop is harvested .

Good news is they are the most potent I've ever grown.

Smurfberry at day 34- It's been rainy and cloudy for the last 10 days, so the buds should be bigger. I am bringing her inside at night and when it rains, but so much humidity has me worried about bud mold. Trichs are forming nicely though and she is STINKY.
I transplanted her at 1 week old to a 5 gallon bucket and gave her 1 dose of superthrive ( a squirrel or rabbit dug her up the first night), but other than that nothing. In fact I'm not going to feed at all. I think 5 gal of soil is plenty to see her thru..
The plant next to her is a Lowboldt, just starting to flower.

ok nevermind.. this site is a huge pain in the ass, so no pics atm..

I just started my first Autoflower grow, no one mentions how quickly these plants germinate! I stuck a couple seeds in a bit of wet tissue on Saturday, when I checked them on Monday morning they had not only a taproot but had left the seeds entirely and the leaves were growing! I planted them immediately after, i hope it doesn't affect my yield. I'm growing Big Buddha SAS, i.e. Super Automatic Sativa.
