cheers for that, the soiless mix has - peat moss, perlite, vermeculite, worm castings, dolomite lime and neem pellets. so do i add anything to it for germ and to grow plants in for the first 1 - 3 weeks untill transplant ?? and after transplant what powder ferts, manure or compost do i add per 50L of soiless mix ?? beacause i want the plant to have all the nutes it needs in the soil and i am away alot so do not have that much time to feed it ect...

^^^^^^^ is this the same with regular strains too as im growing 2 fem regular strains too??

cheers man,

For germing till about 3 weeks, your soiless mix alone will be just fine. If you want, you can buy some fish emulsion (5-1-1) from Walmart or Home Depot and add about 1 Tbsp per gallon to your water as soon as you have a 2nd set of true leaves. Only do this every other watering, and stop once you induce flowering.

There are so many nutes out there, and if I could recommend only one it would be maxibloom. It is made as a hydroponic additive, but actually has everything marijuana needs. you can add it to water (not sure on the amount as Ive never used it) to use with a soiless application as well. I have seen some big time growers get some big time buds using nothing but maxibloom every other watering from start to finish.

I shopped locally and just bought some bone meal (pure P) to mix into my soiless mix. Then I would use Schultz 10-15-10 every other watering if I wanted to give it more. No matter what you do, just dont overdo it. A plant that had no nutes at all will live longer, and produce more than a plant that has been fed too much. Really all you are trying to do is keep the plant alive and thriving. Nutes arent magic potions that increase your plants potential yield, they just keep your plants alive and well so they can do what they do. Dont get sold by nute companies that sell you bottles of crap thats 90% water. What you pay the high prices for is pretty much to ship water.

Best of luck whatever you decide!

Delvite ive heard and read that amnesia haze can produce that but dont know if its true but would never happen on an auto. I have a amnesia auto cross that yeilds 4 to 5 oz but thats it. An auto has a way to short life for that much bud production. 1300 grams is alot. I am also going to be starting a barneys farm lsd x lowryder 2 cross around december 1st. Ill keep you guys up on that as my first grow journal on here. Happy growin guys.

Thank you guys. I can't wait until the one in the gray pot starts getting thick buds on it It has been the best performer so far in terms of rapid, healthy, thick green growth. And it smells skunky as hell now. When I first planted it the whole thing popped out of the dirt taproot and all. I looked at it the next morning and the little fucker looked like it was trying to get away. I stuck it back in the dirt and it has been growing wildly since.

what is the average yeild when growing autos with cfls thanks for the help
Too vague of a question, I can think of many variables.

What strain?
Hydro or soil?
High wattage CFL or multiple low watt?
Nutes or none? Top quality nutes or junk?
Large or small container?
Multiple transplants?
Proper ventilation or just fans?
Height limitation?

All these things and more will affect your grow. I see its your first post so Ill go easy, but a bit of searching could have hooked you up with an answer. In fact, due to the high amount of variables, you will probably need to search around a bit more to get a more proper estimate then mine, but here goes...

Lets say, for example, that everything is pretty well optimal. High yield strain, hyrdo, good nutes, proper ventilation, etc. With high wattage CFLs, I think up to 1oz could possibly be a consistent result. In an extreme case maybe 1.5 but I would be damn impressed to see more without multiple high wattage CFLs and you might as well just use HID then.

On the other end of the spectrum, if you go cheap (ie soil, cheap or no nutes, cheap auto seeds) you could still easily get a half ounce per plant if you know what youre doing. But so many things affect these numbers so either be a bit more specific about your situation or interest, or just read up a bit. Make sure to check the first post in the thread, and also the links at the bottom of the first post.

I got the grapefruit, from attitude as a freebie, and decided to veg it out while the auto flowers grew,Im glad I did, she smells more like blueberry when you touch her leaves and I know is going to be awesome! I just took my first clone from her the other day, I took it from her top, kill two birds with one razor. She seems to be going good so far.
I have:
2x68w 2700k
4x42w2700k
and the rest are mixed 20 something watts, blue spectrum 5000k watts are surrounding the vegging grapefruit though.
Lights are on 20/4
So*i*am*on*day*45
I have what seems to be 3 different phenos of this easyryder, one of them branchy with quite a few bud sites, and the other just one fatty cola 1/3 the size of the other, and then one that is kind of in the middle and the buds are skinnier and the pistols are really short, but its filling out.

Anyways Im using Fox Farm Big Bloom and Tiger bloom every other watering on the easyryders, and just big bloom on the grapefruit right now.
Im using Fox Farm Ocean forest in 3 gallon pots, and a 1 1/2 gallon for the clone I just took.
Here*are*some*pictures*from*between*days**35-45
Nice looking plants. However, unless you live somewhere where growing is legal I would remove the pictures with your girlfriend in them.

Little update on the Diesel Ryder
Day 68 - Pruned a few leaves, noticed I got some great looking seeds. I wasnt quite sure if my pollination efforts from day 21 paid off. They all look great.
Which pisses me off cause I just bought some Blueberry Jam (DJ Shorts Blueberry x Northern Lights #5) seeds from Vancouver Seed Bank. The seeds I got from them are smaller than these AF seeds. And the BB Jam is not an AF. Based on size of seeds alone, I would not order from VSB again.
Maybe about a week or two more, the little d should be done.

Whats up everyone? its been a while since I've been on. Just started my 3rd grow and I'm trying out some autos. I picked these seeds up a while ago. https://secure.bcbuddepot.com/seed-list/bc-bud-depot/lowryder-2-feminized/ before I knew there was so many other auto seeds out there. Think I might start a grow journal for this one so i can get some help if needed.

So far here is the setup

Stealth grow cabinet
Rapid Rooter plugs
T5 fluor for veg
400w HPS for flower
Fox Farm Ocean Forest for medium
I might do half power nutes of General Hydro Max Bloom (1/2 power on 1 and none on the other just to see what the difference is.)\
2.5 gal pots

Just pulled about 3 dozen awesome seeds from my diesel ryder. She will get the chop next week at day 77. Anyone have any luck with their autos with the 3 days of darkness prior to harvest? I tried it on my first grow and could not tell any difference.
