I've never used that size before but if it is deeper than it is wide i wouldn't worry about cutting the bottom off. If you give it enough light you should be able to get at least a half ounce off of one plant... The reason I use such large containers (2.5 gal) is because these are all outside plants and the intensity of the sun is hard to match with artificial light, so the growth outdoors is more vigorous, by the end of flowering the pots are pretty much root bound...

Thankyou slappy, im either going to leave her, or cut the bottom of the pot off, and not transplant. Thanks alot slappy, how did your autos turn out? Potency and yield wise?
Anytime man! I got almost an ounce off my lowryder I had going (I'm going a regular photo-dependent strain currently) but the potency was 2 hit quit haha so not bad, but not like dispensary grade or anything of that sort. I wish you the best of luck my friend!

With my experience with ruderalis they will only grow as big as their roots so its best to put them in a big pot. I had one in a cup once nd I only got a bowl of nug off it then I put one in a gallon ice cream bucket nd I got a dub off those. But yea they really dont need to be fed seeing as most soil mixes feed plants for the 1st 60-90 days anyway.
