Howdy Doody!

Alright folks, first post on here but what I have here is the classic closet grow room setup, cheap and shabby. Ordered two seeds online, Strawberry Blue and Sweet Dwarf, about $30 for the lot. Started out with a couple 25 cfls on each exactly 46 days ago. I know both these flower in about 60-65 days so I want to make sure im on track. Flushed once mid grow. The Sweet Dwarf just started to flower about 5 days ago and have been watering with 1tbsp/gal molasses. The Strawberry Blue is just beginning to show pistils, do yall think this is because she's not getting enough light in the middle? Just wanted your guys advice, opinions, props, whatever.

Lights
5 bright white 6500k 25w eachCFL at 8000 lumens.
2 soft white 2700k 25w each CFL at 3070 lumens.
2 bullshit Wal-Mart 'grow lights' 17w each at 2200 lumens.

Started out on an 18/6 light schedule and now I'm at a 24/0.

That adds up to a respectable 13,270 lumens and 209watts.

Soil
Some plain old Scotts organic potting soil, plus perlite, in 5gal pots.

Nutes
Fox Farms Big Bloom, yep thats it.

On the left Strawberry Blue and on the right Sweet Dwarf.

Thanks for your post. I am a lapsed grower, who hasn't grown since the sixties. I used fish guts, coffee grounds, nails, eggshells and dirt. I even threw in a couple of cig butts for good measure. Never had mildew, mites or anything. Let the sun in my bay window work it's wonder and smoked my butt off. A lot seems to have changed. LOL I have just rec'd my AK47 auto/fem and my free hash seeds, have my lights, but am worried about the soil to use, so I love that you posted your soil, lights, fert.etc. I will be watching your girls (you should be proud). Hopefully, my babies will do as well.

Keeping it as simple as possible has always been my way to go. My dad was just like you, coffee grounds and basic 'manure', and the cigarette filter perlite substitue and thats how he paid his way through college. If anything goes wrong, I fix it, but apparently the small amount of nutes and simple soil are all these girls need. Glad I could help!

Try putting it under 12/12 she may not be an auto?
Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I may just let it keep growing for a while and get a little taller but its got some nice nodes and is very bushy. I'll post more picture tonight.

I understand that, Ive grown many variety's of photos and autos but i can spot a stretchy pheno when i see one theres no way that plant will fill out
it could be down to breeding and / or lack of light the node spacing is far to much apart

They've always had at least 8k lumens on them, 18k now. So light really isn't a problem. I think it's the strain cause dwarfs tend to be taller than they are wide. Despit the fact, the buds are tight and dense

problems ive had with cfls they have to be so close to be effective but my plants burn from heat from them
i probs run about 8k psf
heres an example what auto density should look like (these are not my plants)

Yeah they had that problem early in veg stage but since then Ill adjust everyday. Those look chronic but those look really short mines about 29 inches tall

i grew a similar strain 2ft was the norm for me. light stretch in veg has a negative effect they grow taller looking for more light

on the same note ive had some poor mi5 phenos that where just lanky and buds ran no matter how much you light I gave them

its amazing how much quality and stability differ with each breeder

I've heard of that issue but I know it definitely wasn't a problem for me. I had at least 6k lumens on the plant from the beginning and added bulbs throughout its life. But yeah it definitely does look lanky. Oh well the buds are starting to come together so I'm not disappointed. I'm looking at some new strains to get for next grow any ideas?

If you like your fruity strains, go with Strawberry Diesel and C99. Amazing smokes.

I'll look into em that diesel sounds like a good mix though. I have one seed of Think Different thus far, heard a lot about it and really want to try it

Alright it's been a while but had some minor setbacks. About two months in now and I'm finally back on track. Found out my closet was getting too hot (Upwards of 90 degrees) and too much humidity (up to 80%) and it caused some weird deficiencies (Mg and P) and slowed growth/bud production. Finally rollin again, and they're perkin' up. The strawberry blue is greenin' up gettin real bushy with lots of nodes (will post pics later) and the dwarf is finally starting to bud up again.
Not the highest yield but buds look awesome and I'll get enough for my own stash at least! Pretty good so far for my first indoor grow. They still have at least a week to plump up some more so hopefully they get nice and dense!

Edit: Pictures are up!!!

Still, any tips or tricks for the remaining time before harvest would be greatly appreciated!
