Autoflowers waste of money in my case?

If I were to start my plants (non auto strain)with 12 hours of light do they behave just like autoflower strains?

I live in Hawaii, so I am not sure how this light process and stuff works.
In Hawaii there are 10-13 hours of sunlight throughout the year.

Autoflowers waste of money in my case?

Thanks in advance!!

lets say it this way if you can just keep an autoflower alive you dont have to worry about light cycle at all,
and 12/12 from seed or clone is in my idea usually a waste unless you are in a constricted space.

so in order to know if autoflowers are right for you i would have to know.
Where are you putting these? indoors or out?
Do you have height restrictions or police problems?

lemme know if you still need help!

In my balcony 2x3 grow tent and outdoors. I was just wondering if say a ak-47 non-auto strain seed with 12/12 initial cycle = ak-47 AUTO-strain with 12/12.

What I am trying to say is I AM DRY LIKE THE SAHARAN DESERT AND I NEED BUDS QUICK!!
If the above is true about the = thing, i am going to ditch the autos and get regular ones and make them behave like a autoflower strain with my weather. =]

So, ak-47 reg. 12/12 = ak-47 auto 12/12?

=]
TY!

If you start a non auto in 12/12 it will start flowering right after seedling stage, just like an auto. You wont yield much, just like an auto. 10-13 hours of light per day all year? Really? Just veg them inside for a few weeks and put them out. If you have 10-13 hours of light they will flower when you put them out. You could do that all year long!

HAHA yes so I was right then, (I forgot plants rely on photoperiod, us humans is age/genes so I got confused) but I needed someone with much more experience like you to judge. =] Yeah so I guess the benefits of just getting non autos and growing outdoors is no electric bill. Meh, I guess the only benefit of autoflowers is if you got no light or something, I mean you can also save money by mimicking it with 12/12 hps/mh.

Yeah 10-13 because we are in the tropics so it is even, Earth's tilt has little effect around the equator.

THat's a good idea all year long!!

Sweet I just realized I can do 18 hr light indoors and 12 outdoors!

I'll just use my tent as a mother house, I'll cramp 8 in there and the clones goes outdoors!!

I wonder why people grow auto's anyway. From what I have heard and read, the best you will get is some mid grade buds. Either way, I will stick with the real deal.

Figured since they are on the market they have a purpose, guess not. Unless you plan on going somewhere where the light hours are minimal and there is no electricity lol.

Ask local outdoor growers what day they plant. Check out a Farmers Almanac and plant the same day as tomatoes, if they make a farmers almanac for your area. Try and plant on a full moon if possible.

I've grown the Auto Haze and Easyryder. I wanted to know what the deal was with autos. I won't grow them inside again. I'll save my electricity for regular strains. I think autos are great for outdoor growing around my neck of the woods. I could start them inside on May 1st, move them outside June 1st, and harvest towards the end of July. August gets really hot and humid. Crop thieves and cops are looking for them in August and September. Autos will already be dried and cured. This is a pic of an easyryder from Joint Doctors that I grew this fall. It turned purple in the spots where it received the most direct light! The buds are not as dense as regular strains. Good high but not great. I think I got 42g of this one. Pic quality sucks.... it was a camera phone.
