avg % of weight loss during cure?

I know this may be a stretch of a question but any guesses on the average amount of weight loss after curing? Just harvested....curious what my final weight will be around.

I realize this can vary with how wet the bud is after curing...

i seen a medical article that stated buds should contain 10-15% water weight anything more can cause mold and other unpleasant things so my guess you wanna lose anywhere from 85-90% water weight it then stated that most commercial growers leave it moist to make it weigh more for more money me i dont give a shit i dry them shits properly.. leave 10-15% moisture in the buds and cure for as long as needed.. dont quote me though this is just something i came across and it was a medical marijuana article

If a grower chooses to cure their buds then it's part of the drying process. They stop drying before the buds are done and start curing. Whether you cure or not, the buds should end up at roughly the same weight. How much is lost depends on how soon the buds go into curing.

They have been drying on screens for approx 24 hours, i'm going to leave them over night then put them in jars or ziplocks tomorrow before work, then check on them when I get home

24 hours is not enough. You should leave it at least 7 days before you start to bag them, and dont use ziplock bags right away. You should jar them or use paper bag method after the 7 days. Otherwise you could potentially get moldy bud, the longer you cure your bud the better tasting and smell.

If you only dry them for 24 hours before you jar them, you are looking at smoking MOLD. And 7 days can be to long depending on the temp and humidity. But 7 days is much, much closer then 24 hours. As for how much weight you will get from 18 ounces of wet Bud. I would place money on it being close to 4.5-5 ounces of dried cured bud. It usually takes 4 ounces of wet buds to get one ounce of dried buds. That is a rough number. Maybe less maybe more.
