Hi mates, just a thread to talk about knowledge, experiences, feelings and theories about this substance and the ritual associated to it. I’m not talking about chemical synthesis of DMT and derivatives but the traditional brew.

Respect to the legal issues, it has a really weird status and very different treatment depends of the country. Also it can be considered a medicine or a drug subjectively. Here around Europe it use to be in a legal limbo, since it's no regulated at all by the authorities... Then, it's easy to find many ads in open websites offering that "spiritual retreat" for €€€. This is just a social phenomenon, not joke, it is really fashionable and there is a legal void that allows it so it’s getting more and more popular.

Normally it woks with a group of 10 - 20 people meeting in a countryside house where they will meet the shaman or spiritual guide. This may be a shaman who has come from South America and is doing a small tour by Europe or... He/She may is an European who has gone to the amazon jungle to learn the trade. More late the shaman/guide start the ritual when the night comes and then... Then each one have a very different experience and feelings respect everything around.

Of course there are people with different motivations for come to these sessions. Some of them are psychologists, others are addicts, others are truth seekers, others are believers in whatever and others pursue the ancestral knowledge of forgotten cultures... Well, many different people and many different reasons, charlatans and scammers included.

I’ve taken it a few times in different contexts and i'd like to contrast opinions so i would like to start by asking, with all due respect;

How are your experiences?... How important is the ritual for you?... What is the role of the shaman/guide to you?

All approaches are welcome, those with mystical spiritual bias and those of scientific rational type.

Greets.
