So we had/have a little scare, all of a sudden a calmag def popped up almost overnight it seemed. We were a little lost as to what to do and since it is our first time growing we called on some advice from Dr Greenthumb. Klyde called him up and asked about it because we figured he would know his plants better than anyone. He always seems so grumpy but he did actually seem like he wanted to help. He told us our PH was too high and that we needed to lower it to 5.7 and to go in right before the lights turned on and lightly spray them with 2 teas calmag to 1 Gallon of water. I think we have stopped it from spreading any further, hopefully, but I guess we just have to wait now. Greenthumb made it sound like we killed them and that we need to hope and pray they don't die! I think that was a bit extreme because they aren't stunted and are still producing more trichomes everyday.

I cut 3 more clones, each time I have taken clones they are of different sizes, this way I can learn which is the best way. This time I took the largest I could which included the top portion of Mommie, which effectively topped her as well. They are actually looking better than I expected it does seem that the larger you take them the better they stand up(at least that is what I am getting right now). We also followed a different method of caring for Mommie. 3 days before we cut her she got nothing but RO water so there was no nutrients in her in order to build up carbs.

Klyde says that the plants in the flowering room are only needing to be fed and watered every 2 days and we are starting to look more towards harvest time. He has also been researching ways to hasten harvest time. We know we are going to end up losing a little yield but we are under a time crunch right now. We understand it is experimental but lowering the day light time gradually down to ten hours is the only option we have at this point. I have been checking the trichomes everyday and I found 1 amber headed trich, I'm sure there are more but they are no where near ready. We wont be cutting them at 8 weeks instead we will be cutting the Top Colas on May 8th and the bottom guys on May 12th, which will be Day 49 and Day 53 . Keep in mind that Dr Greenthumb said this strain is supposed to finish around 42-45 days. They are extremely fragrant now and Klyde has the exhaust fan turned all the way up.

I knew yall were gonna spray them plants!! That is supposed to be a no-no!! It causes mold!!

Well the thing is....he says it is very important to give them a 36 hours dark period before they begin flowering and after reading what everyone else says we decided against it. I have since read a post where a guy says he actually did get them flowered and done in that amount of time and he did the 36 hour dark period at onset. The people that didn't though were having to wait 60 plus days! This was for endless sky though not for Dope. There is nothing out there for Dope and we both really believe that we might get a slightly smaller yield this way but they may actually finish on time.

page ten and i suppose when all else fails, supercrop hahaa. klyde to be so smart you left no booksmart room for common sense. you have pissed alot money away for this grow!!! leds penetrate no doubt but im still reading sigh**

page twelve now i sure hope you check out my responses on my page for drying!! Here i'll make it easy! Hang them up after trimming all the big leaves and small leaves away. cure the trichome covered leaves to. except you dont have to put them in a paper bag. (so forget those for a second!) after you trim your plants hang upside down until the buds get crispy outside about 3-7 days depending on climate leave some air circulating on low away from the plants (not blowing on them ) they are still growing at this time. now after they get crispy cut them off and put no deeper then 3" in a new paper bag from the grocery store. They are non bleached and you dont want bleached stuff on your bud. Handle them careful. Put them in the bag and fold over the top like a mickey d's bag. every so often turn them with your hands. The bottom of the bag will pull out moisture and compact your buds. When they get really dry throw them into Glass jars. No plastic containers, bags etc. Get a big glas jar( peanut jars, pickle jars, mason jars, jelly jars etc. are perfect) If you put them buds in at 1245 am or pm , DO NOT OPEN THE JAR UNTIL 1245 twelve hours later! twelve hours later take them all out check em for mold and put em back in. No real science here if you put em back in at 1:00 am, or, pm then YOU DONT OPEN IT FOR TWELVE HOURS! Do this for a month and OMFG it will be the bombest shit yall! and if lucky had it right which I really dont care what you do, this is your business haha Whoever gets the bud will enjoy its good taste cured for a month!! Now as for the leaves, the bigger ones supposedly good for butter I beg to differ! The trichome covered leaves should be left out to dry and cured in the jar for you guessed it 30 days!! then thro them in plastic containers(its ok for these trust me!) and put them in the freezer! That way when you pass them through screens to make hash they break off. I still dont understand the bubble hash and bag methods why people would tear the shit so much But whats good for you might kill me so whatever. But this is th4e best method I have found!!

Still think there was alot of money spent on them lights and the whole setup, severalpounds return should pay off but holy smokes 8,00 grand sure added up fast on this one I really dont see it being worth it but hey you got a lot of green I guess everyone is different but this is an extremely old post and I just realized it three pages ago so who am I sigh***

Just make sure you dry them in the dark as light degrades the thc!!! whatever you do! good luck noobs!

Haa haa remember at the beginning they said they were arguing lol. They better watch that I saw where a couple called the cops for a domestic dispute and they got busted with madddd plants!
