Attached below would be photos of my sick baby.

Setup:
20"x36"x72" Mylar Tent, 600w LED, 15 Gal Tote, Hydroton Medium, Earth Juice Nutrients.

Strain:
Super Lemon Haze

Age/Height:
2 Months into Vegging and 20 Inches tall. (2 months because it's my first grow in hydro and have been defoliating and topping a lot.)

So based on the threads, I've diagnosed my plants with Calcium problems. I would like to reconfirm as I've never encountered a sickness or a pest. I'm from a country which is difficult to obtain nutrients. With international delivery and through customs, it will take at least 2 months before I can obtain any new nutrient. Are there any alternatives? Will defoliating these leaves help?

I have superthrive among my nutrients, will this help?

Comments and constructive criticism will be appreciated! :)

I'm not a hydro grower but based on things I've read here, look up Brown Algae (I think). I see its starting to form on the roots just below your net pot. I would forget about the leaf symptoms for now, from what I read the algae can cause a multitude of issues when it gets going on the roots.

I fought algae pretty hard last month. Ended up following advise from a stickied post at the beginning of hydro section.

Required sanitizing both of my reservoirs, cleaning all my roots, and concocting a beneficial microbe solution. It worked great, just sucked to get everything sanitized.

I recommend
lower res temps 65-75
more bubbles
aqua shield
cal mag is a common need for pot plants however root problems take precedence. it may be an absorption issue. good luck with your ladies

I'd say this is the aftermath of treating root rot badly? Your roots shouldn't be showing that greyish brown sludge, its basically stopping the whole system working as it should, maybe look at agricultural websites for an alternative chemical treatment for pythium root rot?

I have had it but treated with appropriate solutions and installed a chiller, good luck as this may get worse if the temps are highish?

Just to mention you may have some other algae growth other than a pathogen such as pythium, but its something along those lines. I found that pythium always affected the whole roots from base of crown right through to the ends. Algae and slime can just be in the basket, do some googling and ask some others advice. My input is there are some good biological septic tank treatments that use enzymes to digest and break this algae down, this is a common problem all around the world. If it says safe for aquatic life its fine to use and shouldn't alert any suspicions.

Cooler temps are ineffective against an established build up of algae, once they are blooming its a ball ache to get rid :wall:

I have sucessfully used this product as an example http://nbs-products.com/gb/en/septic-tank-bacteria.html
