Bad luck with Autos

I seem to just be having the absolute worst luck with these autos lately. I ordered from North Atlantic Seeds. I bought 3x G14, 3x Pineapple Express and got 2 freebies(forgot what they were). Planted the freebies first, and it just so happened that the big freeze happened down here about a week later. They had just sprouted before the bitter cold hit and I lost power to the tent. They died. I waited a bit then planted 2 Pineapple Express. A few days later we got a big time rain storm. I went into check and there ants crawling EVERYWHERE inside and outside the tent(on the lights, the plants, outside the tent, on the fans, EVERWHERE). So I moved them into my tent with my Bubba Kush photo that’s in Week 16 flower. One has sprouted, the other hasn’t. The sprouted is looking super limp( I’m guessing too much light since I have it cranked all the way up for flower). I sprayed off the ant tent and have it drying out now. I don’t wanna give up on them but man I’ve almost run through half my order and nothing to show for it yet :(.

Seems like you got too excited and popped them before last chance of frost. Good thing you started with freebies, learn from it and carry on man :peace:

That’s what I’m doing just frustrated. I’m in the Deep South, we aren’t supposed to get frost! Lol
I also lost my plants during the freeze. Started over a week later, similar situation as you with power outages. Mine thankfully survived. Just clipped my Pineapple Express auto from Grower’s Choice, dried and almost done curing; weighs in at 39 grams total bud weight.

As for the ants, they smell something they like. Wipe down and disinfect the tent in between each grow, that will help keep all the bad crap out.

Cheers to another southern grower, good luck!

Just a quick note on the Ants. They tend to harvest Aphids for Nectar(Honeydew). Keep your eye on the underneath of the plants leaves. I'm way up North in Western Canada so I'm just assuming Aphids are a thing there as well. Good luck on the grow!

You've described a nightmare I've often had. Opening my tent and finding an infinite stream of ants pouring out from the pots.

Im in north carolina. Outdoors with barneys blue cheese auto. I went out and covered plant with plastic container for first frost and let it go for most recent. She survived and is showing pre flowers already...she is one tough girl
