Bagseed. First grow attempt

Yeah ill keep an eye on your grow and see how that goes. Im actually gonna research topping a little more, maybe i can do that too. And if, god forbid, jill turns into a guy, ill just beat the hell out of him and try everything and see how they work

Ok. So jill is pretty short still but she's really spreading out and growing a bunch of leaves. Turning out to be a nice little bushy plant. She's looking really good though. And I believe I saw signs of sex earlier today when I was checking and looks like she'll be a girl! Gonna keep my eyes on it though. Il get some pictures up soon enough of her and what Im talking about

Ok. Here's an update on the pictures. As Ive said, she's really grown outwards. As y ou can see in the pictures, especially the second, the two lower leaves are dropping and have yellow spots and all. Thats from the nute burn I talked about maybe last week or so. But everything else looks good. Had to back off my lights a bit cause I noticed the tips of the top leaves were having some heat stress and about to start burning. Good thing I caught that quick. Also, I couldn't get pictures of the pistils cause my camera wouldn't focus in on them. But I'm keeping an eye on those just to make sure

Here's my baby

i was thinking about starting LST on here, but I think I should probably wait till she gets a little taller. Or is she good to start now? Any suggestions?

LST is low stress training. Basically, you grow the plant for a little, then tie strings around in and pull in down or to one side and exposing more stem. As it continues to grow taller/longer, you bend the stem slightly and tie those down. Basically telling it how and where to grow. This exposes the stem and makes the plant produce more leaves on the exposed stem areas, it then creates more colas and therefore making more bud sites. It's a space saving way to do it, and makes the plant really bushy.

Ive seen a few good threads describing it and showing really nice pictures. There was one with a diagram. Ill try and find it again

Im growing basically the same way. Ghetto. I have 2 lights one 125w cfl and one 125w solor glo light. In my closet. My plant is 3ft. tall. and flowering nice. i think. take a look at my pics. n tell me what u think.

Ha, yeah man. The ghetto way it the way to go. :bigjoint:

Ok, so I just LST'ed it. Im hoping it's not too extreme. This is my first attempt at LST, so help would be great from anyone.

Like any help would be awesome. Ill keep it as it is for now, I just wanna know if its like too extreme for LST and I should just cut the ties and let it grow as it grows or how it is now is fine and keep it?

You mean like doing scrog? I was thinking about that, but not yet since my time constraint.

And thanks. Yeah she's looking really good and bushy now and it's only been a few days. Im excited to see how she looks after a few other tie downs. Im gonna try to circle her around the pot before flowering. As for the tie downs, yeah I found some string and I'm using twisty ties to move her and then wrapping the string around. I need to buy or find some more of those thick, black clip things. They work really well.

Ok. So I was just thinking. I want her bushy but I wanna get this LSTing over with so I can let her grow out and just not have to worry too much about it. Think I could/should back off the lights to make her stretch a bit more and give me some more room to bend for LST? or just let her get bushy now and bend what I can later?

Ok. Here's an update on Jill. Pretty bushy, and I did a 2nd LST as you can kinda see in the last picture.
