Go in to water my shit today, and my ballast is making some clicking noise as if trying to turn on, but cant. I un plugged, re plugged, flipped breaker and all that shit, swapped to different bulb (there was some metal piece floating in my hps bulb?) eliminated the timer, etc. just fucked! I put in the MH i had laying around unopened, nothing. I called the ebay store i bought the Ipower 1000 watt dimmable digital from and hes just issuing me a return label and there going to ship me a new one. But in the troubleshooting paper it said to check the fuse on it, But i cant see one on it externally, maybe its just a generic info sheet for all there shit and does not count towards this model, All i know is I'm flipping the fuck out.

Does anyone else have an IPOWER or has had this happen? It would be a hell of a lot better if i could swap a fuse than shipping and waiting.

Also, I have no idea how long these can go without light, Don't know what to do?

You really do get what you paid for. Ive tried to talk several people out of ipower and into something much better but being people they usually make up their own mind and think they are actually saving money. In the end they'll find out on their own.
When I buy a ballast its from a local shop, if it goes bad they have a loaner program so I dont worry much about it.

Yeah it seems bottom of the barrel as far as high power shit goes. Now i get to ship shit back and fourth blah blah , joy. What brand lights you go with that you would recommend bro? Fucking sucks I just put in good time at work and am going to get a solid paycheck, and instead of going out and having some fun, I might be buying more shit for the grow. happy happy joy joy. lol

Cfl are a chep alternative while you wait. Goto homedepot and pick up some so the plants have some sort of light until you get the new ballast. It will keep their schedule intact also

yeah i just threw my home made 600 watt cfl fixture in there on the timer so there day/night does not get all jacked up. I have like next to nothing in the veg room though, oh well... i guess a few days of shitty light is better than no light.

thinking i need a second 1000 watter in there , ive been wanting to add one, and this is a good reason to while i wait on the ballast. atleast next time some shit breaks i will not be fucked.

the fuse on an iPower ballast is located on the bottom side of the cable plug outlet, its hidden fairly well, but takes no tools to get at
