Just a ceramic metal halide ballast, the bulbs wired up its just the input which is in the pic above

Its 220/240v so you have a line a hot and a ground


edit= the 2 green in the middle is the ground on each side a wire goes to each pole of the breaker

Yeh ground is in the middle, but does it not matter which way round the live and neutral are?

no it doesnt they both will carry 110v from the 2 pole breaker I was that you were in EU from the product page you linked.
I run my ballast here in the usa on 220

it worrrys me when you say neutral here is why it doesnt carry a current and 2 pole breakers have current on both poles of the breaker

edit = line and hot will let people know a 2 pole 220v breaker is needed

We have live(brown) neutral (blue) and earth (green/yellow) from our power points
