Back from vacation and my plants survived! Pics are from day 21 flower. I think I should have done another week or so of veg to allow the canopy to fill out better a little better, these didn't stretch very much. I have one stem that looks like two stems fused together with a centipede on top. @BigHornBuds explained that it's a polyploid. (last two pics) Since it's one of my main stems I'm just going to let it go and see what it does. I've had a hermi in the past and I don't want to stress it by removing anything.

Looking good hope you didn’t get to sun burnt.
My parents not just left Honolulu yesterday there on a cruise.
That stem is trippy

Nope no sunburn for me. I was constantly slathering on sunscreen and hiding in the shade during the hottest time of the day. Your parents will have a blast! I can't wait to go back.

That weird stem/bud isn't growing much compared to the others, just putting lots of small leaves.

Absolutely beautiful grow. Glad I stopped here and had a look, LG and I hope you dont mind my posting this.
You really are quite good at making the most of your grow space.
I can learn a lot from you...

I love dwc but it is a different monster as far as figuring out when to flip so don't end up too full or not full enough. I have been running a couple 3x3 tents for quite a while now. I run one 315 cmh per tent. Last time I ran them I hit 11.5 zips from one and 12 from the other. I run 4 or 5 plants per tent in 2 or 3 gallon pots of Coco/perilite. Hand watered once per day. I was only averaging 8-10 zips before when didn't use a scrog net. Now I put up two nets right before the flip let the plants grow into the bottom net a little bit tuck the branches once and flip. I remove everything below the bottom net ( basically only leaving the top 3 or 4 leave sets on each branch) and pinch any branches that grow taller than the others for the first week. Then leave em alone and wait for em to hit second net (between day 14-21) then I defoliate hard. If needed I defoliate again around day 42(if went hard enough first time might not need too). Defoliating too early can stop your stretch so if you need more stretch wait a bit longer if your into your second net then it's time to defoliate, it def helps to slow that stretch down some if things are headed too tall.
I purchased a second scrog net for use if these got too tall. Fortunately I think they've stopped stretching and the tallest shoot is about 12" above the net so I likely won't need it. I've done two major defoliations and will do one more minor one right before the start of week five then let them go. Last two grows I did practically no defoliation, maybe picked a leaf here and there and it was an out of control mess. I'm also noticing that the humidity is a lot easier to control when there's less leaves in the tent.

Absolutely beautiful grow. Glad I stopped here and had a look, LG and I hope you dont mind my posting this.

Thanks @ProfessorChaos420 you should have seen my previous out of control grows. This end of October will mark one year of being a member here and one year of growing my own weed. I've learned a ton and made some okay cannabis, really hoping this is the grow I can be really proud of.

Beautiful!:weed:
Thanks @Dr.Amber Trichome

Update. Day 26 since flip. They've really started packing it on this week. I did a reservoir change on Sunday and they're now fully on their flower feed. I've started giving them 2ml per gallon of liquid kool bloom and it's at about 1,200 ppm. Each plant is taking 2.5 - 3 liters of water per day and seem to be really happy. My 6" clip on fail failed last week so I purchased a two pack of vivosun clip on oscillating fans. I have one running above the canopy and one below, seems to work a lot better than the old stationary clip on fans I was using. The plant on the right is about two inches taller than the one on the left. It's nice to finally have plants are similar to each other in height.

:) Thanks guys.

Day 36 flower update.

I did a reservoir change on Saturday. I've been running my PPM at 1,150 to 1,200 throughout flower and they've been consuming around 80-100ppm and two to three liters of water per day. I checked my PPM on Sunday morning and they had risen to close to 1,300ppm. I added a two liters of water to bring it down 1,150 and yesterday morning they were back at 1,200ppm. I added two liters of water and brought it down to 950ppm and it seems to be staying stable there. I haven't seen the roots since Sept 10th, but the water smells fine and everything else is normal except the climbing PPM.

The hairs on the plant on the left have started turning brown a lot earlier than I'm use to and the buds are a bit smaller than the plant on the left. It's still putting out fresh white ones so I don't think I need to worry about that.

The smell is really strong now when the tent is open. :weed:

Thank you. I don't know if it's genetics, the scrog screen or the additional lights but during my last grow one of my plants was close to six feet tall with tiny buds at just past 30 days flower. Seriously hoping that this grow will give me the nice looking buds that I've been after.

Looking nice and frosty! :weed:
The last one you grew was so much different ! The last one looked more sativa then the skittles. Yeah I see what you mean about the brown buddage. How close is the light? You are doing a terrific job adjusting your ppm nute readings.
have you read any other grow reviews for this strain? It might be a genetic trait to show early browning. What’s the flowering time length recommended?

Last one was barney's farm LSD which is supposed to be 70% indica. I had four plants in the tent and didn't do any defoliating or canopy management. It was just so crowded in there that the light couldn't get into the plant.

The lights are about 16" above the tallest branch. I've been looking at gorilla zkilttlez diaries on growdiaries.com and see that most start changing colour between weeks five and six. Barney's site says 60-65 days and I see most people harvesting around week 9.

They probably stretched so much last time because the shade avoidance was triggered. Competing for light the branches will stretch up like that because they are receiving too much far red light, ie "shaded light". You have your current grow on lock now though, good job so far.

Thanks! Funny you mentioned red light. I ordered one of those far red initiator pucks and it arrived today. I'm going to attach it to the bottom of my main light with adhesive motherboard mounts and run it for 15 minutes before/after light out.

How many are you planning on running? Your grow area looks to be a lot bigger than mine.

Also it's not needed before lights on, just after.
Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately they are severely lacking documentation and FAQ for newbie growers. the 15 minutes before and after lights out was something that I read users were doing on another site.

The red light in your other LEDs are more than enough to wake them up. I run my far reds all day with my hlg qb288s, and only leave them on for 7 minutes after lights out.
