Basic Growing Set-Up

Hi,
I'm new and haven't yet started growing as i am still doing my research. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of a basic growing set-up, for example a minimal set-up in a small cupboard/closet.

I'd also like to know of any good places that sell good but cheap growing equipment like lighting e.c.t

Hey, you'd have to check the growfaq for your grow setup since usually it's very customized to suit your needs. also here si a pretty cheap supplier of basic growing supplies.

High Tech Garden Supply
I second that notion.
Also check this out for small hydro grows...it's easier than you think.

SH Hydroponics
A lot of there stuff is good but you can build something for close to nothing, this site has some nice stuff even if it is just for ideas. The bubblers are cool for small quick grows and they can be built very easily-SmokerE helped me figure that out.

props, that $89 kit seems fairly easy to build but i dont see why they jack the price up to $399 for it to come with a grow light. I'm probably gonna get all the supplies from my home depot, then order the light from htg..it'll save me at least $200

You can do it cheaper, a lot cheaper as SmokerE was telling me and he's right. But don't forget all the other stuff it comes with. It comes with nutes, rockwool and what not. Yes it's overpriced but for someone new to hydro the 179.00 unit isn't too bad. The best thing to do if you are new is to get the 89.99 one and then get the HPS/MH light from HTG and you have a whole set-up for cheap and you can build your own next time around. But the 399.99 isn't that good of a deal. I think it is also nice for someone new to see exactly what goes into a hydro set-up, and to have all the neccesary tools to grow with. Then from there build your own...that's what I'm doing. I'm still doing some soil stuff too.
