Been having trouble sprouting seeds

3 days in water, unless they were floating for most of that time you may have drowned them. I would get them out of the water and into either medium (jiffy pods, rapid rooters, soil) or paper towels. Paper towels have worked for me, but jiffy pods worked better.
I have never had a seed pop under water, not saying it doesn't happen, just not to me.

It’s been 3 days since I dropped them in water and they haven’t popped. Are they dead?
Probably. You don't soak them until they pop you soak them for 8 - 12 hours to make it easier for them to pop. They might be rotten mush inside by now. Plant them and find out.

I dont even throw mine in a cup of water i just put them in a little tupperware container with toilet paper soaked in water and I have holes in the lid then I put it in a dark place and within 5 days all the good seeds have popped

During the summer this method is the shit! I had such good luck I started getting cocky. But in the winter it seems my luck has turned and I remember last winter having issues as well

Put mine in a stainless steel shot glass with water. Cover top and set on top of my hps hood. Keeps the water warm to the touch.

My basement is 67F normally and I have had it take 3 days for one to germ with no heat.

Empty the water and put warm in there every 4 hrs. They seem to open a little right after each time you do.

With the hood method, most seeds are in final pot within 36hrs.

Agree .smoke!!!I have not had a dud yet soaking in water in a shot glass and 3 days soaked in spring water on a heating Matt with not temp control ,glass rignt on the Matt in a dark place usually have are sticking there tongues out at me lol.Although this round I have just soaked until cracked about 14 hours and then into wet napkin with another wet napkin on top and made sure the water was like bath water ,maybe not quite but warm water and into a clear Ziploc with hole in it .every time I check it I make sure to reheat the water /napkin completely thru as it takes sometime for the heat from the Matt to sufficiently heat the area properly,I swear I can see the taproot reaching when it hits the sweet zone.surprising how warm they actually want it for vigorous germination.and I havent popped anything to worthwhile that would make for speedy vigorous growth of germination or anything like that....,.....yet lol.first time doing papertowel method on my own as well.seen lots done that way but always soaked them

I like to set mine on top of the server power supply, nice and warm year round =). Cold temps do cause slower germination.
This. I use a small tupperware with moist paper towels on my Xbox or cable box lol. works every time, i recently germinated seeds i bought like 3 years ago

In summer they can live in water like that. I’ve dropped one in water on Thursday then left for the weeken to return and find a nice lil taproot

I have a part 1-3 video on germination. I’m a first time grower learning as I go. If anything I learned can help you i’m with it.

Thank you! I’ve grown many times before but for some reason I have a hell of a time sprouting during winter. This last couple weeks I lost a Somango, critical Cush, one unknown bag seed and 4 PCK. I only got one of the PCK to grow and it looks runtish but is hanging on
