Begining of a journal-1000w Flower tent, 400w Veg tent

I will update this thread as I go so I guess its a journal?

400w MH Veg tent, also used with flouros for cloning the next generation, 1000w HPS flower tent. some plants have been transplanted but others i waited for sexing

And, right now, as of tonight I'm pretty sure, 3 Hindu Kush Females, 3 Hindu Kush Males, and my only surviving 2 feminized female "the church" girls. (10 seeds, only 2 survivors)

The best looking Hindu Kush plant IMHO was one of the males, and I'm not actually disappointed because im going to move it to a 250w 12/12 area and harvest its pollen and cross it with my best church (the tall heavy growth female i took 3 of the clones from and is still the biggest) and I'm leading towards "Sacred Kush" as the result. Should have very mold resistent traits, and hopefully keep high yield from church, and a taste of the heavy indica stone of kush.

Gonna pull 2 more clones from the best hindus, want to keep 1 hindu and 1 church clone from my favs for next sesh, and then i'll do a buncha my new Sacred Kush seeds and pick my fav females and kill rest and remain with no more than 6 flowering plants (following med laws for what im aloud)

gotta say im looking forward to it, co-ops here are charging 70-80 for top shelf 1/8ths, my need with a vaporisor isn't compatible with the price for the appropriate potency.

And i expect criticism for attempting to cross breed on a disgustingly amatuer scale but its something that motivates me and i think will be fun as long as its not an epic fail ;)

The temp is displaying receiver temp top, flower tent bottom, 79 degrees.

The clone pic has reflections of the CFL's on the humidity dome, One imitates HPS, other MH, i took those clones last friday, i took all these pics tonight.

And if anyone can give advice, would I significantly improve yield upgrading veg tent to 600w mh?

Yes I believe it will improve your yield. You have some nice healthy looking plants. How long are you vegging for? I have a 1000watt and I am debating on either growing fewer bigger plants or a SOG grow. Have you had any experience with SOG?

I only attempted to grow once before and only used a 250w light with lots of LED grow lights.

Then I got smart. (well maybe still dumb but smartER)

and got serious with this HID setup

These actually probably vegged about 9 weeks, but thats from seed counting when i put them in soil after germination and they didn't sprout fully yet and i stressed the plants with heat a couple times on accident.

For veg I would not upgrade from a 400 to a 600. In veg your plants and probably most of the time pots are smaller, so they'll fit in a smaller area and 400w is enough. 600 is damn near 1000 in itself, and hell if going that route I'd rather veg with flouro's and have all 1600-2000w for flowering.

nice. jgfghgkjh:weed:

thanks!

already got a problem tho! brand new bulb less than 2 weeks old broke in the middle of the night, something inside busted i beleive and it turned foggy white, I emailed HTGsupply since the bulb is on a 1 year warranty, I also mentioned the refund of $40 they forgot to give me, and they're ignoring me :wall:

i picked up a bulb locally tho so if they replace it i'll have an extra

Htg is pretty reliable.
Theyll mostlikly get back to you as soon as they can.

GrowTech

stays relevant.
nice dome... that's what I keep over my rooted clones to give them a few days before the flowering process..

any reason you're not using a tray insert? umm... also curious- what cloning medium do you use... rockwool, rapid rooter? etc...
