benefets of mites

someone told me the other day that having a few mites is beneficial to the plants. it helps draw out the oils and flavors. i call bullshit. i mean it just sounds completely stupid to me. them fuckers can be so destructive. sounds like someone is too lazy to treat their garden or is taking in too many bad plants. i really dont understand how people even get mites. ever since i started all my plants from seeds, make mothers of the strains i like, then just clone. never a single mite to be found. rooms are not even all that clean nor are the plant leaves even every sprayed with anything.

you'll never find a mite on this cheese quake View attachment 2607274View attachment 2607275View attachment 2607276View attachment 2607277View attachment 2607278

i go on the weaker side for nutrients. i use tap water, technafloral bloom, fox farm big bloom, hybrix molasses, botanicare cal mag, botanicare liquid karma, general hydroponics sugar cane, atami bloombastic. 600w hps and 24W CFLs and 54W T5s for side lighting. 1400 ppms of co2 with. a lot of these supplements im using are actually useless. im slowly eliminating them and going more organic over time. i prefer to keep everything simple for the most part and use common sense. i keep my temps 80-85F. dark temps i keep a bit higher than most people i know 75-80F. i never see mildew since doing this. no matter how low your humidity, some strains of powdery mildew can easily survive. it just keeps a rapid temp change to generate condensation on the leaves. it's plenty of moisture for the mold. although i still keep my humidity to 30-35%. i also found i the past when i had a mold problem that the genetics play a huge part in being resistant to mildew. too many clone generations seems to weaken plants. certain strains like holy grail kush i grew a while ago seemed very sensitve to mold.

Keep an eagle eye out for fungus gnats. I spray every 2 weeks with insecticidal soap. This cleans the leaves and treats most problems prophylactically, saving you from problems later.
