benifits of cloning?

Clones are the same sex as the plant that donates its branch. A male will be a male, a female will be a female. Unless you are into genetics and need additional pollen, there is no need to clone a known male.
Upside of cloning is that with a good strain, you can maintain a single mother female plant in veg state for years and use her for a constant source of identical plants from cloning. You get consistency in your grown herb.
Upside... no bag seed worries or incurred costs to buy seed.
Upside... great for indoor growing SOG or SCROG
Upside... it's fun to do!
Downside... cannot think of any..
