They want to primary progressive Democrats who aren't "progressive-enough fast-enough" (in their opinion) in exchange for what are turning out to be no-name sure losers.

Obama in 8 years got a huge number of Red voters to accept gradual change (see Obamacare) because it was gradual.

People should vote the candidate they want, sure, but they also need to accept that sometimes shitting in the pool is regressive and gives Republicans an opportunity to wind back the progress we've made.

Your strategy lost over 1,000 democratic seats during Obama's 8 years in office, the house, the senate, the majority of state legislatures and governorships. Please explain why you believe using the same strategy will win? Why would republican voters vote for a moderate democrat when they can just vote for the republican? Moderate democrats cannot beat republicans in deep red districts, but progressive democrats can. Progressives are stealing republican voters in droves by offering things that will actually help them like universal healthcare and college, each election so far they get within the margin of error after Trump won the district with a strong majority.

I commend him on his campaign and message. But i did read some posts, not verifiable by any means, that said many didn't vote for Quist because of bernie. Which I find likely, because in these deep red States people seem to oppose paying higher taxes and government handouts.

Fact: Every democratic party senator supported Bernie's bill to amend the Constitution to repeal CU and were foiled by Republican filibuster.
