There is an example of what I said about people suggesting strains as sativas when they are anything but. Why in a thread titled; "Best Connoisseur Sativa?" are people listing indica dominant strains or even indica/sativa strains? The title is not whose your favorite breeder or what's your favorite strain. It's "Best Connoisseur Sativa?" so shouldn't people be listing SATIVAS?

Jillybean

Strain: Jillybean
Breeder: TGA Subcool
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: mostly indica
Flowering: ~56 days
No feminized seeds.

Jill an accomplished hyrdo grower was lucky enough to be gifted with an amazing Orange Skunk. The day we smoked the finished bud we knew we had to outcross it with our Space Queen male. You don’t have to be a master breeder to figure out Orange and Pineapple Mango will be a good combination. The resulting outcross is remarkably stable and is close to a 50/50 representation of the parents.

Topped only once in grows into a nice short bush with lots of side branching and multi heads. Flavours range from Orange, Tang, Candy, Mango, and Apple. The cross works really well in SOG or SCROG. Although it was created as an outcross to Cube the OV every female I have seen is a keeper in its own right. Very large stems and huge top colas make this an easy strain to grow in any medium.

We have 5 females in our bud room and 4 could be clones. They are very similar having the same height, growth speed and a dank orange smell. A very good mood elevator and general euphoria is experienced while high on this cross. Lime green with vibrant orange hairs; with temperature drops they can turn a deep burgundy to maroon.

Phenotypes: Very stable Orange-Mango 50/50 Phenotypes
Height: Short and Stocky
Yield: Very Heavy / Easy Trim
Location: Indoor/ Outdoor
Best Way To Grow: Single topping forms multi heads
Harvest Window: 8 weeks
Sativa/Indica: 30/70
Hybrid: Unknown Orange Skunk X Romulan X Cindy99BCGA
High: Happy, mood enhancing, humorous, energetic
Smell: Like orange skunk or tang/ Taste so much like Dreamcicles you will not believe it!
Notes: The bubble from this strain is like concentrated orange goo

Querkle

Strain: Querkle
Breeder: TGA Subcool
Location: indoor
Type: mostly indica
Flowering: ~56 days
No feminized seeds

This Indica dominant hybrid has a great taste and out of a 5 plant test run all 4 females turned a nice shade of purple with warm temps throughout. Our goal was to recreate the nice grape flavor but ad some speed to the slow Urkle mom and the results are better than we expected and finding 2 keeper moms from the very small test run we did. Results from the field verify mild variation, good yields and fantastic flavor and colors. This hybrid has been featured in both Skunk and Hightimes magazine.

* Phenotypes: Two main females one Short and very purple with grape flavors, the variation is a slightly more SQ dom with a taller frame and more sativa buzz.
* Height: Short and dence does well un topped but faster than Urkle.
* Yield: Medium to heavy if extended veg time is given mainly due to bud density.
* Indoor has only been tested so far
* Best way to grow: Vegged to a large bush Or untopped in scrog.
* Harvest Window: 8 weeks
* Sativa/Indica: 20/80
* Hybrid: Urkle x Space Queen
* High type: Indica head and grape taste make it total all day headstash.
* Smells: Grapes, fruit, berries, musty
* One of my favorite things to smoke out of a clean bong the flavor is just amazing and IMO better than Mom.

Bricktop, I agree with you. I did mean for this thread to be about high quality top of the line Connoisseur Sativa's or at least Sativa dominant strains (meaning 80/20, 90/10 Sativa). There are some suggestions of Indica dom strains, but that's alright, I'm not worrying about it too much. I mean, I'd rather the banter here stick to great Sativa's, but if someone has smoked a great Indica dom hybrid that is more Sativa like in it's effects, than I don't mind someone mentioning it.

So do you have any Sativa strains to add to this thread, maybe a smoke report or two on a few of your favs? I'm sure we'd all love to read about some great smoke's you've had. Thanks bro.

So do you have any Sativa strains to add to this thread,
I posted a list of 100% sativa strains earlier in the thread ... it was message number 57. Going by my tastes, that being mainly true sativas, I would say they all would qualify but if I had to pick just a few from the list I would say these are my favorites.

It will be easy for all to tell that I am a big fan of Reeferman. He knows sativas, and breeding in general, and in my book is one of the very best ... like tied with one or two others for first place.

Reeferman Seeds - Accidental Haze

Accidental is more a hazey high than a asian high asian highes get me in the eyes and I feel rocketed hazes are more mid range.
The accidental haze was a accidental hybrid between mexican red hair and punta rojo coombian that has now been inbred it turned out to have a super strong haze smell solid nuggests and overall higher yeild than most hazes.

Strain: Accidental Haze
Breeder: Reeferman
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: sativa
Flowering: ~80 days
No feminized seeds.

Strain Lineage / Genealogy / Family Tree

Reeferman Seeds - Blackseed

Strain: Blackseed
Breeder: Reeferman
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: sativa
Flowering: ~68 days
No feminized seeds.

Blackseed is a mostly Mexican IBL that dates back to about 1974, and fueled early BC pot culture. It stands as proof that strong cannabis is not a recent invention. It used to called `the pound plant` as it makes big sativas with big yields. Great plant for the Kootenays, where it was first bred by hillbillies. It need lots of root space and makes frosty light green lemony nice sized buds. Old school sativa high

Reeferman Seeds - Haze Bros Original Haze

Strain: Haze bros original Haze
Breeder: Reeferman
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: sativa
Flowering: ~98 days
No feminized seeds.

Haze brothers original haze crazzy old school this is the origional haze that all haze hybrids were bred from strong cat pissy super long flowering sativa that will blow your mind very special its back in all her glory these plants stretch like mad getting huge you will need to flower cuttings as soon as they root to keep plants under 6 feet tall medium yeilding the best breeding haze avalable today. 12-16 weeks flowering time and worth the wait reasonable because no veg is required.

Reeferman Seeds - Nepalese

Aka: Nepalese Highland / Highland Nepalese

Strain: Nepalese
Breeder: Reeferman
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: sativa
Flowering: ~77 days
No feminized seeds.

Nepalese Highland is a pure IBL (inbred line) from Nepal. Although this strain grow with a sativa structure the buds show more indica in their formation. Reeferman has sold these seeds at various times over the past decade on various seed auctions and other seed sites and this strains is known to have been used be several breeders to produce the majority of Nepali based strains that are available today.

The strain is popular with breeders looking to create sativa structure in indica hybrids, where earlier finishing times are required. It also produces a larger frame to the plants which helps increase the yields.

This Nepalese Highland was used as the father of Reeferman’s High Times Cannabis Cup winner Willie Nelson, along with a number of other popular Reeferman strains.

Reeferman Seeds - Phnom Penh

Strain: Phnom Penh
Breeder: Reeferman
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: sativa
Flowering: ~98 days
No feminized seeds.

Aka: Cambodian
The PP is anything but average! Crossing to a Thai x Haze father tames the wild sativa just a little bit, with out losing the psychedelic stone and spicy incense , black tea flavors of the Cambodian jungle weed. Not for beginners

Inside Finish Time: 14 weeks / Outside Finish Time: early December / Variation: 3.5 / Odor Level: 2 / Mold Resistance: 6 / Yield: 4 / Ease of Growth: 3 / Feed Level: 2.5 / Stretch: 3.5x

Reeferman Seeds - Willie Nelson (One of my very favorites)

2005 High Times Cannabis Cup Winner - Best Sativa

Strain: Willie Nelson
Breeder: Reeferman
Location: indoor, outdoor
Type: sativa
Flowering: ~84 days
No feminized seeds

An F1 hybrid between Vietnamese Black and Highland Nepalese . Its Willie favorite smoke , he tried it once and bought the whole crop. What else do you need to know? How about a sweet and sour, lemongrassy flavor and a reasonable 10-12 week flowering time? Good mold resistance and a friendly, soaring high round out the package.

Inside Finish Time: 10-14 weeks / Outside Finish Time: Late November / Variation: 3 / Odor Level: 3.5 / Mold Resistance: 4.5 / Yield: 4 / Ease of Growth: 4 / Feed Level: 4.5 / Stretch: 2.5-3x

If highly predominant sativa crosses work for you I would add Neville's Haze from Mr. Nice Seeds (not from Green House Seeds or elsewhere.)

I'll second the Super Lemon Haze (currently growing/smoking), though the come-down from that strain is a bit draining at times, not badly but noticeable. I've always been interested in Kali Mist, though I've never sampled any.

Willie Nelson from Reeferman is a monster. Killer high, pure sativa (Nepalese X Vietnamese black) and is done in 10 to 11 weeks. Very good yielder. I have some C-99 that I just crossed with it and am waiting on buds to mature. Hope to bring the time down to 8 or 9 weeks. C-99 also is a killer sativa buzz though not a pure sativa can be almost paranoid.

and just soo you know that there is no jamaican landrace..... marijauna doesnt grow natural in jamaica... all the marijuana that grows there was imported from india back in the day.... and now you have genetics from all over the world on that island.... THERE IS NO REAL JAMAICAN LANDRACE.....
Not sure if you ever heard of rasta john from rastajohn.com. The site is no longer around but he had many video clips of cannabis growing wild in jamaica. inot saying they are landrace but by the pictures it looked like they were obviously growing wild in some crazy places. In order for them to be considered landrace they would have to be growing wild for some years.
