the iranians you say you had your eye on worked well for me a couple seasons outdoor. i had planted them mostly for some early bud. they grow a tad differant than any other auto i have tried as you can veg them under 24 hr lighting and they will stay in veg for some time. i would veg indoors till they were about a foot and half and put them outdoors. they would flower as soon as they go out, should see flowering in short time after going out. these plants are pretty nute sensitive espesially to nitrogen. the buzz is also quite better than any other auto i have tried, but also i haven't done to many auto'd just the iranians and several freebies over last few years. anyhow they are not a slouch on the high but it's the kind of buzz that will make you want to slouch. there was alot of varyation in the plants but not a one i didn't like and i grew maybe 35 of them in a couple seasons.

the iranian crosses should work in your area as well i have only run iranian x chemdog myself. very nice plants, all were done by end sept maybe one went first week oct. these got quite large and were nice bushes with no topping and were an easy grow. i'm certain i had some small mold issues with these but also harvested lots of fine med nice nugs, good flavor and excellent high. i realy was thinking of getting more of these myself.

i have also done his cindy 99 and reg chemdog both of which i also think are great but neither would finish outdoors here. i tried a cutting of both and took both down the first week of oct and they needed 2 weeks more, weather said rain and snow that year. i bought them for indoors anyhow and for that they are both great. knock your socks off, both are quite strong. the chemdog would be my fav out of the 4 i tried from dr.greenthumb but would be the worst of the 4 for outdoors if you can't go till end of oct.

I also ran the Iranian chemdawg last year, in the north east, and they were probably my best plants all around, mine were also finished by the end of sept and I think I left 2 to October 10th along with other strains, the Iranian is not really an autoflower,it's just an early finishing strain, had good taste and potency, yielded fairly well also, I'm gonna run them again this year along with his Iranian Diesel and probably the strait Iranian, I'm gonna run other strains as we'll be these are definate.
I've smoked his chemdawg 4 grown by a friend and it was excellent, more than I had expected it would be, definate top not smoke

i've made several crossed using the iranian as the mother and they work great here in cosatal maine with a wet climate and are all done by early sept with no mold issues

Aren't Dr greenthumb seeds ridiculously expensive? I've always found it odd as well that with the Dr being a Canadian breeder that I have NEVER seen, smoked, or heard of anyone here in B.C. Growing his strains. I have however heard of a friend having a personal experience with him and said he's a complete asshole. IMO If we here in B.C. don't use his genetics then they probably don't have what it takes to be among the best. I'd suggest looking elsewhere for better genetics

i'm no pro at this but i've purchased from many breeders since maybe 96' back when Emery was the only guy sending to the US and have bought lots of junk over the years as well. dr.greenthumb is yes expensive but he knows what he is talking about as well. and also he will talk to you if you want to contact him. try that with greenhouse or barney's or any dutch breeder i have tried.
personally i'd rather pay $200 for 10 seeds and have them work well and produce then pay $50 from greenhouse and spend 3-4 months of time to be depressed with the end result. doc is seriously the only guy i have yet to have complaints about. i'm not saying everything he has is bomb, i don't know. but the things i have were worth it. this is not to say he is the only guy with good seeds there are plenty out there.
anyhow you will be hard pressed to find many that use his gear that have complaints other than expensive and he is supposedly an ass. i can deal with that.
i for one certainly want some more greenthumb seeds for this coming outdoor year.

Fair enough lol I sometimes forget the difficulty you guys have with getting seeds down in the states. I personally use vancouverseedbank.ca. They are great there and pretty knowledgeable of most seeds they carry. Not sure if they ship to the US but might be worth taking a look. They carry 30 plus breeders from all over the world. I personally love Jordan of the islands. He is a Canadian breeder who carries some of the nest genetics I've ever grown and has something that would suit just about everyone's needs

I have had luck with many over the years. we realy don't have to much trouble getting seeds just when someone does it gets posted up with big complaints. I've probly had 30 orders in 18-19 years and haven't lost one. ordering from emery to heaven's stairway to gypsy, attitude, hemp depot, legends, seed auctions to greenthumb and also people who have gifted me seeds to try (by way of Canada) and not a loss order so far, knock on wood.
I think if you were to try doc.g you would be happy also if you do a quick search you will find very few complaints and those you will are the spammers who probly have yet o try them. would never have myself if a friend had not gave me a few Iranians to try. they worked well and I have since purchased a few more I liked as well.

I have looked at jordan of the islands for outdoor seeds before but haven't tried them yet. maybe this summer I will source some out. any recommendations for some good Jordan outdoor seeds that would finish by 1stwk oct and produce some nice happy bud. also wouldn't hurt to have some resistance to mold. wet falls are 50/50 here.

Ive talked to Dr Greenthumb several times and yes he is sort of an asshole bur I know a lot of people like him. His Iranian Auto is a nice smoke and fairly strong if done right...too strong. I've grown 8 Iranians and varied each one on nutes and how long I left them in dirt and how much sunlight. The longer ones I left were pretty damn strong. The others were all good smoke, I have been doing some crossing of my own with the Iranian with some Sativas that have a long flowering time. The earlier you put the Auto in the dirt the sooner you will be harvesting. I put some straight into dirt and others under 24 hr of light. Of course those got much bigger and yielded better.
I have grown 8 other strains of auto and surprisingly the best one I liked as well as about 10 others all liked was from nirvana called Blue Mystic Auto Flower.
I got several more varieties of autos I'm going to pop this upcoming season.

I would not be afraid to buy from Dr Greenthumb but yes you will spend some money to get those genetics.
I'd like to try his Iranian G13 of his.

I can tell we think alike as to quality of breeds time is money so id rather pay 200 for 2 seeds that are bad ass as ill clone the piss out of them anyway!i haven't ordered since emery direct about 98' there are so many breeders id rather just buy quality after being around the buss for couple decades I find more often than not we get what we pay for !! usually! time is money and it takes a minute just to find out that its all show and no go ! wth that said im going ape wth the Iranians and few others from greenthumb as it takes me a whole season to determine what breeds are worthy outdoors so thanks for input its hard to find others to discuss this wth
