I'm on eBay looking for new bulbs just don't know who's to buy!!!
so many different brands I'm confused.

Basically who has the best stuff? The best brand and the best bulbs? I don't mind paying a little extra I just want the best HPS and mh bulbs I can get !

I use HPS ballasts so I will need a MH conversion bulb for the veg stage

you dont need aconversion bulb to run mh in a hps ballast....

the best bulbs really depend on what you need, space size spectrum ect. the best standalone HPS bulbs are gonna be the Eye hortilux super hps, digilux and ushio.

the best stand alone MH for veg is the venture 5000k, any bulb rated at 6700k is really good, and the agrosun gold are all bomb ass halide

phillips CMH is a good all around bulbs too, and there are others but most need to be used in a hps MH lighting combo to be fully effective

Ushio, Digilux, Hortilux. Any of those are my Top 3. Remember - Digital ballasts are recommended for certain bulbs. ie) Digilux

4 years of growing, experiment, failures and successes. i do a light of research as far as lighting goes and spectrum affects growth a great deal i had been keeping it simplistic in the last years but due to new revelations, at least to me, i have a better understanding of lighting and how to properly achieve "perfect" environment.now trust me me im not the best but i do alright in my books... right now my set up is 400w hortilux super HPS, 400w Hortilux MH, x2 florasun t5 x2 reptile 23w cfl.

the timing is 12/12 HPS and T5 and 11/13 MH and Reptisun. average time to harvest between 60-70 days on med-fast strains

now my perfect spectrum or rather the upgrades i would prefer since much of the red in the normal MH is unnecessary i would prefer to switch it with a 6700k MH in the T15 envelope, because it is in a cool tube. another thing i would like to change is to just remove the cfls and add x2 more t5bulbs the Arcadia 12% uvb reptile bulbs to be specific. adn then eventually i would like to change the florasun t5s to UVL redsuns or the wave point max plant growth.

i've been using sunpulse mh's... they come in various k's much like cfl's do, all the way from 3k for flower up to 10k, which they recommend for the last week of flowering..
simply pick the correct k for w/e phase of growth you're on, and let her rip.. this was my second grow using them, and i'm digging them..

i have a digital ballast, and blew a hortilux blue after about a month of use, yah, i was pissed.. also tried digilux and had no issues in my digi ballast..
and who ever said you can run a straight mh in a hps magnetic ballast is talking out of their ass.. you need a conversion bulb.. this is what i love about digital ballasts, the ability to run both hps and mh's in one ballast, even though lately i've only been running mh's for both veg and flower, it's nice to have options..

If your running a magnetic ballast^^^i agree with Poly that CMH is the best.....philips/retrowhite/ea/allstart 5100k.......use through the entire cycle/75% lumen at 10000hours/ >3% color shift/etc......get it!!!

edit: shit your running 600w...nevermind on the CMH.......let's see you can go with the "best" priciest hortilux blue for veg/hortilux super hps for flower......if money doesn't matter:)And yeah the NEW horti bulbs are all e-ballast rated.....so no issues in your digi
