Best Kush You Ever Smoked?

..ok upon further reading this may not be entirely correct and the SR71 PK may not even be an OG cross.. the only lineage info about the SR71 I could find just says it’s Hindu Kush x Purple Afghani, and says nothing about OG as a parent.

Here’s a pic of the Trichome Technologies Purple Kush / Ultra Violet featured in High Times year 2000..

And here’s the PK featured in the Blue Sky Coffee shop (aka SR71) clone menu 2007

I remember getting a purple kush over 10 years ago that looked like the 2nd photo. It was so good, purp grape taste and thick smoke. I’d love to have that again

I grew a Master Kush years ago for a few years. I don't know where it originally came from as I got it as a clone along with a Chocolope from a friend. It was extremely good. It was an awesome strain. I crossed it with a few different things including the only clone I ever paid for. Something called Purple Sky that originated in Southern California. That cross was pure fire. Sadly all of the seeds I had from those crosses ended up in a box that was stored in an attic that got extremely hot for a few years and despite all my efforts I was never able to get any to germinate.

Nothing else Kush has ever come close to that particular strain and I've grown quite a few since then.

nice Which breeder? The only SR71 seeds I could find currently were on DCseedexchange but since they are regular you gotta wonder which male they used since SR71 was clone only..
Those are the ones I took a chance on, haven't grown yet or asked questions but I figure if they used a male Hindu kush or male Afghani, it should be fire even if it's more of a copycat of the real deal....but I do know someone currently running it and it looks a lot like the real deal...who knows though

Yea tru.. should be fire either way. I just popped an “Ultra Violet OG” from Dutch seed but it might be a different strain altogether since they don’t mention SR71 and it says it’s a Face Off Og cross.

I'd say either way you're good there too lol....most strains are AT least smokeable nowadays....in the late 90s-early 2000s there was shit so bad I refused to smoke it lol...I don't really see that terrible of shit anymore...now everything at the very least looks good, most smell good and most even taste good now

Most ppl say the new strains are better than old strains - which isn't true at all....what's better is advancements in growing techniques, advancements in indoor lighting, and advancements in knowledge about these plants.....that shit is what changed the game, not the newer strains, outside of making flavors that were uncommon now become common....in that way, new strains have changed the game. Sorry for the rant I'm high af lol

Yeah i have to agree with you there tho some places we gained stuff we also lost some too so that way its a double edged sword for example skunky type shit is lacking now vs say like dessert type stuff thats all popular now

I emailed GuamMaineian Gardens as they've been super cool to me over the years and have donated testers to me when I first started growing and recently. This is what he said about their SR71 "We are working with the Strayfox release of an F2 BX of the SR-71. It's the SR-71 PK clone x (SR-71 PK clone x Instant Karma). The Instant Karma is the Bubba Kush x Sour Diesel IBL from Bodhi's work" .
They are a great group and the Steve Lemme OG x White Cherry Truffle he donated to me a few years back are looking great in my tent right now, despite being underfed the last few weeks. I have some Steve Lemme OG x Triangle Kush seeds I want to run soon too from them.

Glad they are gonna use the clone in the F2 BX.....but what exactly did they do in the pack of seeds I've already got?? Just use Hindu kush x purple indica and hope for similar results to the real Purple Kush??

I edited his reply in the first post, maybe the full reply will clarify it for you. When it comes to breeding terms I'm not much help but here's what he had to say in it's entirety;

The SR-71 PK is originally from the SR-71 coffeeshop in Oaksterdam. It's a Hindu Kush x Purple Afghani. We are working with the Strayfox release of an F2 BX of the SR-71. It's the SR-71 PK clone x (SR-71 PK clone x Instant Karma). The Instant Karma is the Bubba Kush x Sour Diesel IBL from Bodhi's work.
Hopefully that answers your question but if not let me know, and if I can I'll ask him more specific details. I like talking to him, he has a really positive energy that reminds me of Strayfox Gardenz.

I hadn't put them in the first post, my bad. I just thought he was talking about where the strain originally came from. Sounds like some good buds. I grew some purple kush freebies from DC Seeds back in 2018 that were great little plants but I didn't know about cloning back then. Wish I could grab some of those again just for the terps

Seedsman freebie labeled "SEEDSMAN KUSH AUTO FEM" which was, come to find out, Sensi Seeds' Hindu Kush auto.

Smelled like breakfast sausage, took 2.5 months from seed exactly & was the most amazing overall body effect from any flower I've smoked before or since.
I got a 10 pack of reg photo's of Sensi Seeds Hindu Kush.
I hope mine turn out as good as your auto did.

We have the same law here in Canada, 4 plants per household. I've never grown before, but the fact that we're only allowd to carry 30 grams/per person, and some people saying they can get POUNDS per plant, makes me ponder if they'll reduce it to ONE plant per household.
I was talking to a police officer (in Ontario) that told me he wouldn't bother anyone with 5 or 6 plants because it was a $150 ticket for the extra 2 plants.

Quebec has a no growing at home rule. If a province wants 1 plant that's where they would set the provincial rules. Federal rules are the max they wanted after talking to the provinces so if there is a change it will likely be at the provincial level. It's a lot of work to change the rules and it would make more people angry than get votes so I don't expect it to change.
