Nothing on Ebay is going to be the best......probably chinese made, crap components. Buy 100% American made, and find at least a few grows with them and make sure they are liked by the growers. But again, Ebay stuff is crap (but cheap).

Hiya smokeyinthecloads, I'm just dipping my Toes into the LED arena..so I couldn't even begin to say what is The Best LED?? But I have come across a few Threads and Post where the HANS 65w LED Panel seems to get quite a few good things said about it.

Hans Grow 2x65w.JPG LED Hans2.JPG

http://www.bonsaihero.com/ledgrow.html

"The latest version of my famous "Hans-panel" is available, it now has 10 Osram LH-CPDP Deep Red and 2 Cree XBD White Leds, as well as 4 Cree XBD Royal Blue and 17 XBD Red leds. This new version gives over 15% more light than the previous one. The White leds cover the whole spectrum of visible light, while the large amount of Deep Red leds optimally stimulate the phytochromes. The external power supply is now easily unplugable.

For those of you that are new to my approach; 5 years I've been working on Led panels optimised for growing marijuana. Because of the numerous bad Led panels on the market, I wanted to investigate if it would be possible to grow the same amount of bud with only half the electrical power of HPS lights. I have been reporting the progress on the well-known website http://www.ledgrow.eu/www.ledgrow.eu. As you can see I succeeded in truly outperforming HPS lights. In Set-Up 12 I used 2 panels of 65 watt each to produce 153 grams, 5.2 Ounce, of great Marijuana with only 103 KwH of electrical power, 0.67 KWH per gram. With HPS it would take about twice the amount of electrical power and space to produce a similar amount."

"These unique Led panels with their patented reflectors belong to the very best on the market. You can optimise the spectrum and amount of light for 3 different phases of your plants life. There is a position for seedlings and cuttings, another is perfect for early flowering and mother plants and the third position is optimised for maximum flowering. Details about the different settings
My panels have no light losses caused by plastic covers or lenses in front of the Led's. And although they are only 65 Watt, they produce at least 35% more light than a 90 Watt UFO.The LedGrow panels are available, directly from the manufacturer, price is 240U$ or 180€ for a 65 Watt panel, power supply included. Independent grow reports from satisfied customers can be found at "

Not sure if it would be enough power for you? seems a lot of peeps use more powerful ones..but me..IF I keep reading good things about these babies..then I'm gonna get 2... 5 Ounces from 130w Electric suit me down to the Ground...

Peace

I would recommend a Cidly 6 spot, possibly the 4 spot for that price including shipping from Cidly over in china, hit them up through their website and a rep will contact you pretty quickly, fully custom specs available including uvb and IR for a touch extra and the sales reps are knowledgeable and helpful, 3 year warranty, lots of great reviews and grow journals of their units working and producing great results. Most of the "American made" is just assembled in the US anyways using parts made in china, don't waste your money imo. Cidly does sell a lot of their product to companies that just rebrand and resell for a few hundred bucks more.

and check out the Apollo series of grow lights.

Keep researching player..
I am not sure what you mean by this? I have done a fair bit of research and have found that these CLW really put out some power. Where most LED diodes are being driven at like 1.5w these are 4 watts. They have great light spectrum, from what I can tell. So why do you make it seem as they suck?

I own one.. It kinda sucks. I actually am opening a box on another A51 as we speak and am going to probably retire the CLW for a bit.

I doubt they suck but I haven't seen anything negative about Area 51 lights but CLW some mixed but mostly positive reviews. Maybe they have just been around longer so there are bound to be some negative reviews. Don't know just my two cents.

Sucks? Really?.....what's the problem with it?

SS 800 had one of the highest par readings around if I remember correctly.....with quality build/parts...their led are outdated though IF they are the same ledengin 5w emitters.

Thats what I have heard also. The only negative I find are they exaggerate their footprint. But that is not an issue for me.

Its warm, has terrible light distribution and speaking of par readings, I'm pretty sure the A51 SGS is almost putting up the same numbers as their "400"w SolarStorm. Overall it is just a sub-par, outdated, overpriced POS... Of course that's just my opinion.

If my SolarFlare out performed my A51s I would be saying the same thing about the A51.

If the A51 doesn't work for your space, look at the Hans panel. If you need a bigger lamp, check out Apache. That CLW is a nice lamp in concept, but it just doesn't translate well in the tent. Just my 2 cents.

And I'm not talking about the craftsmanship, it is a nice solid lamp, but they have done nothing to improve their design even though they know there are areas for improvement. Also, the SolarFlare is definitely bright, but it seems to stress the plants if they get any closer than 16-18".. Bleaching at 14". The plants under the CLW will actually grow towards the SGS, no joke.

So if the solar flare outperformed the A51 you would say the A51 sucks? And the storm is DEFINITELY not warm at all. Why not say both are solid lights and perform up to growing standards... I am sorry you are just coming off Fan Boyish of a51. I think that they are both great lamps, your reasoning behind the lack of performance has mostly been opinionated, as the things that you say are wrong with have all been proven sufficient. I think both lights are great, and just cause you like the a51 better, does not warrant a reason to be bashing on it =D

Did you read my post? I said if the SolarFlare outperformed the A51 and the A51 was hot, and had poor light distribution, and have been using outdated technology.. sure I would say they weren't very good. "Sucks" was a word that someone else had used, so that's why I said suck.

And since I swapped out the CLW for the SGS tent temp has gone down 3-4 degrees (I am not the only person to have problems with the CLW kicking out heat.)

When the CLW was in the tent, I had DARK CORNERS! Since I swapped it out, I don't have dark corners.

I get better par number, for less money and less draw at the plug.

Seriously, the CLW is a dinosaur, and I'm sorry if you're having a problem reading my posts.. but CLW is a B/C+ grade light, and I was expecting WAY more from it. It now finds itself in the corner next to the HTG and the 105W CFLs.. Fugn waste of money honestly.
