leds put out as much heat as hps and they do not save energy either...600w led is the same or poorer than a 600w hps.
leds are expensive and they have alot of 50 centers to advertise their crap...puffenuff now dudes

10 years later, 200 bulbs later ... if you buy high quality bulbs, you will be over 20000$ without including higher electric bill

Psuagro had some great advice for you, one thing though is if you pay for high quality components, they shouldnt fail. I have never replaced fans in my computers.
Ten years later you have to replace the failing LED panels, so even if someone did replace their HPS lamps every 2500 hours, your point would still be mute.

I'm just nervous to send money with western union to any China recipient. Been hit before and there is nothing you can do to get your money back. As for Led's run as hot as HPS or MH, maybe you should actually try a decent set before you say that.... kinda sound stupid to ppl who have actually used both.

Use paypal if you order from china. They accept it even though its not on their website. Just ask who ever you talk too. You are protected with pay pal.

I also vote for the evergrow Nova's on alibaba. I did a bunch of research on Chinese leds the Nova's and eshines got good review. The aquarium guys love the novas and for your coverage area you could us the f24 it's a huge light 800 actual Watts. I plan on getting some Nova's for veg and clone next month.

The new Area 51 panels are supposed to cover appox 6ft/sq and use 145W.

I'm extremely anxious to get my hands on a couple. They offer bulk discounts too, I'm sure for such a large order Jeff would hook you up big time... worth seeing what he says anyways... especially if it saves you a cool 10k... lol

$495* and you'd need 24 lights, that's $11,800+... you'd certainly be saving a shit ton of money. You could prob get them for much cheaper than that too... 3480W...

Food for thought.
