@diggs99 , oh my jesus lord, $91 for shipping?! Holy shit bro! This is one thing i read about them too, that their shipping prices are absurd which is another reason i was hoping @welight would respond to see if i could get a discount code for shipping. I was think maybe $50 or so but not damn near $100 to ship the damn things wow

Ya thats always the issue with ordering outside North America it seems.

Ordering from digikey or arrow obv keeps cost down for this reason alone. But they dont sell the j series, they sell sammies and bxebs and vestas i think.

The new bxeb gen 3 slims are very comparible to the J series in price and quality, you could look into them, shipping would def be cheaper.

Shit, I ordered 2 custom made rotors for my Harley from Italy which are pretty heavy as well and didn’t even pay that much for shipping lol. I was confused looking on those sites lol and prob wouldn’t even be able to find them lol.

No thats the gen 2s.....they are getting harder and harder to find...arrow was only showing 40 and thats not enough for what you need.

The post had 2 links in it for the new gen 3s....they are $10 per strip for the 2s i think....last i recall, they had 89 in stock. i never checked arrow.

So these are gen? I see they only have 40 so im assuming gen 2’s? Plus why does it say 33 led’s per 560mm? That cant be right lol

Oh, would I need to use a different amount of strips? Would 8 still give me what i need? I remember u saying something about watts per strip ( depending on driver ) but im liking the free shipping lol

The 2`ers can be ran decently at 20w per strip...

the 4`ers at 45ish watts per strip

They are slims, so smaller strips, less wattage to them. So you will need a few more strips, in the end, your gonna spend just as much as you would on shipping from Aus lol...but you would have the latest gen 3s which are supposedly doing very well.

Ahh ok, plus are the in the U.S? So how many strips would I need per fixture then? I apologize man, I feel like I’m starting to bother u with the constant questions! I just wanna make sure I get what i need the 1st time ya know lol. So, if it were u and woth the price ending up pretty much the same, which route would u go? I’m thinking wiring would be easier with the j series, am i correct?

No bother bud, its all good. Ive been here before.

If you want the easiest for your situation, its def the 4 foot bxeb gen 3s.

They are in the states, will prob get to you within a week...you would need 8 of the 4`ers per 320w driver(2x4 fixture)....wiring would be hella easy just like the 2` j series.

So ya, all things equal and you being American, id prob just buy the bxebs 4` slims.

@diggs99, after adding strips to cart ( guessed at 12 per fixture for 48 total ) and it’s actually quite a bit MORE than ordering the J Series from Cutter. So I’ll prob just end up paying $91 for shipping as its still cheaper, I’ll give it another day or 2 to see if Mark replies ( hopefully he does ) and see if maybe he can hook me up woth a discount code for shipping as I’ve seen him do for others.

Sounds good , you wont be disappointed with the J series, i love mine. They grow very well.
I didnt price the 4’ers but im assuming it would be around same price in the end as the 2’ers which at 48 strips total, is close to $600 and going with 32 strips total J Series is just over $400 so i think it makes more sense to just stick with our original plan lol as the price difference will almost cover the price of 1 driver. Well, this is it and just gonna stick to our original plan and get these ordered from Cutter especially seeing as they only have 24 strips left of the 3000k and i need 16

Hey guys! I used to be on here a lot but haven't had an account for ages. This thread made me register again. I currently have a fairly large license and I'm looking into the best possible fixtures that are also cost efficient. I'm almost leaning towards a whole bunch of DIY LED's now...

Much appreciated for sharing all of this information.

Lmao, no plz, no more suggestions! I’m making purchase once I wake up as I dont have my wallet and not at home.. Plus ive been debating on what to run with the 3000k (90cri), 5700k, 5000k, 4000k or 4000k (90cri) but can’t keep my eyes open anymore as it’s 3:30am here and I need some sleep. @diggs99 , @2com, @Gond00s , @ChiefRunningPhist and @1212ham, I wanna say thanks to you all for your time, your replies and just all your help as I really appreciate it! Hope you all have a safe and good New Years!!
