Best light on the market ?

Providing the right room temps for a tent for any light isnt hard, well i say that but ask an led grower...

All light is hot :-)
Never grown in a tent all my rooms I built. I can run almost any light as long as height allows it. I like led but cmh is good too. The new single jacketed hortilux bulbs get down in the uv range

Devil's advocate:
What if you could take my single point radiant heat source and instead spread it out over the canopy. Also, take out the spectrum of my light that the plant doesn't use. Knock those watts down because of that, and what do you have?
1. Its been done, leds are not the first multipoint light fitting in our grow tents, penetration drops area increases. Leds follow this principle but you try to augment them back to a simgle point source or lower powered strips.

2. If you know of any spectrum in grow lights plants dont use writeca thesis and have it published as you will be the first. Leds fell down trying to guess this incompletecscience.

3. You have an led for a $1000, but zero actual science. Since the first ufo 90watters to six years later at present ive been listening to this absolute broscience.

Ya know leds and this tech was invented a long time begore these lights. People stayed away cause of the price but small advancements saw them closing in on sucker growers. The cheap leds at home and in cars etc work well as a beam of confined forward pointing light, they appear to emit more in that beam but hps will light up a lot morexof thecsurroundings and bingo you now know why hps has far superior penetration watt foelr watt.

The uk just up and ditched leds, no majors are selling them, evrn they couldnt find this extra yeild and groeth and science again won over.

Why are leds a toxic market? Simply because the users who forked out for em made it so, its what they do here too if ya havent noticed.

Oh they blame blurples and manufacturers and lies but nope.... it was all them, scroll back over this thread its all there :-)

Again proof is in the pudding.
Can you post up a pic of a led grow you did with a led setup not short of being a dinosaur.

You can talk all you want but I posted multiple pics of retarded growth under cobs.

I've grown with them all and the cobs without a doubt out perform the HPS.

I dont work for led manufacturer I'm just giving first hand information.

Can you admit what you paid for your leds?
I have a feeling it's going to be really funny, after you talked about how expensive it is to cool hps... and your only saving like 120 watts vs a 1kw...

LED’s are the real deal.
I was very skeptic until about a year ago.
Super happy with the qb’s.

About 500.00 would rip a 4X4. Also, as said earlier, it plays real nice with smaller rooms as well.
Call me crazy, but LED’s brings out the frost... and big time too.
That’s my experience with them though.

1200 for a 4x5 setup.. I wasnt trying to hide it. There good for 10 years easy. That's like 20 hps bulbs and 20 percent more in air conditioning cost with hps

Also the 1000w cmh pulls 1200 from the wall.

So you paid 4x what I did for a brand new gavita. At most I'll buy 4 bulbs in 10 years as they are 2 year bulbs and it comes with the first one. That leaves 500 for me to play with on other things. It's likely that portions of your fixture will fail before the 10 year mark, if you read up you'll see they dont actually last that long.

well, after reading this entire thread, I feel a lot better about running my "antiquated" 1000w HPS . I'll just keep doing what I've been doing.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it I guess.

Classic hps look. Tall and crispy under the bulb and short and larfy on the outside. So glad my scrogs dont look like that anymore

Ok so what are people opinion. I just moved and don't have thetheeans to run my 600watt my/hps. I just can't air cool it on my new place. Without that it's just way too hot. I'm looking at timbers 400watt it has 4 100 watt veros. I'm also looking at optic led 4 or 6. This is for a 3x3 tent. I'll admit I have had great results with my mh/hps. But I just can't do the heat any more. Any input would be great. I also like hlg 300watt v2. Im not sure where to turn. Veros, Samsung topbin dioedes. Or cob and some 5 watt dioed that being optic led

Dissent.

Yes COBs are good.
Till you grow tall plants.....
Cobs are great for a small area or a large plant count....Make great commercial lighting IF you do a 2 tier (or more) racked system and can, again, have massive plant counts..

I'm limited to certain plant counts......HID rules the roost on tall/large plant, low #'s...period.

As to the OP's original question - THE SUN!!!!

The fact that i dont use leds has given me a much more impartial opinion and a better writing of actual science here.

You come here with your broscience trying to big your ego and tout leds as the best.

You got burnt and all the science and led knowledge ive laid down in this thread has not been discussed but we have discussed your own independently elected opinion on leds which is again quite selfish.

Why dont you get with the science - start with apologizing for the wrong ppfd info youve given the past two years here.... ya i troll you all and know what youve said :-)

oh and experience - i fucking lived a few streets away from an led grow light factory, i know first hand what they do and dont and as ive said testing yourself is flawed, my idea to take the best of the best grows and compare is much better.

See it just gets boring when you belittle, you aint laid down nothing here apart form a jealous aggressive holier than thou led opinion - when will you understand what you are writing :-)
